Okay, been thinking of another Western suburbs cruise thanks to Rocky's recent Mad Max cruise and me having to drive to Ballarat for work and ummm checking out an interesting route back home via Spargo Creek (Dags - you know of that area :buttrock: ). So thinking that might be a good one to do later in August if anybody interested - lunch at Trentham and also takes in Mt Macedon for a photo opp during the day as well (we did Mt Macedon at night last time and froze our proverbial butts off :roflmbo: ). Probably about 250km round trip.

Maybe in September we do Black Spur - Marysville - Reefton Spur (though I tend to get car sick on that one and I'm driving :roflmbo: )

These are only proposals by the way fellas - just putting out feelers to see of any interest

Gary, I'm going to check out the Eildon - Jamieson Rd again soon.

Should've settled in nicely by now.

Sounds good Adam. I would like to do that and the Targa High Country route around Whitfield maybe in August or September. We don't need to go up to Mt Buller as it will be snowed in anyway.

I'm always keen on a black spur/ reefton spur run. That little spot just after lake mountain is fun :3gears:

I'm happy to wait for the spur. breakfast at marysville and then off towards lake mountain. if it wasn't looking so average outside I'd do it tomorrow! Might even start shopping for some semi's for that run.

...lunch at Trentham and also takes in Mt Macedon...

I was checking out Rod Hadfield's Castlemaine Rod Shop 'Hot Rod Museum' on the web today, roughly an hour from Trentham (Pyrenees Hwy, Chewton). Could we possibly drop in there for a visit after lunch? Here's some shots of what's in the museum.

Here's the road I was talking about...

It was fully sealed late last year. A couple of us drove it in January and we all agreed that it needed a bit more traffic over it to bed the surface in. It should be good now.

It's a very popular road with the road bike crew, and why not I guess? 56km's of twisting high country roads with no other roads (only bush tracks) running onto it.
