Keep the fact in mind that you are both in the box seat, he saves on advertising cost/ real estate fee's etc ect. and no waiting to sell the house.

So the offered amount should lean in your favour Dan because he is saving a bit of cash by having a ready buyer who doesn't have to wait to sell the property they own to buy a the new home.

I probably have to fill up twice as often (or more) than if I was running petrol so can't "hold off" to the monday cycle

 

That said - gas doesn't really seem to have a cycle and yeah - <$30 for a full tank makes the issue pretty small ;)
