Ebay Brake Upgrade-is It Possible?

Was looking at upgrading my disc to slotted rotors and then found this on ebay. Now I always thought if you increased the size of the rotor, you had to change your calipers. This seller is saying different. He is selling the kit for $350.Is it true and is that a good price? Has anyone got them?

The calipers are the same, its the change in brackets that allow them to fit.

It will not make much if any difference to your braking performance.

It is a cosmetic change and should be avoided.

If you want to upgrade the braking performance, then do it properly with DBA4000 rotors and soem decent pads as a basic upgrade.

Going to Alcon/Brembo's and larger rotors will improve the performance further.

The best way to improve the stopping distance is better tyres.

330? Will that fit under an 18" factory rim (assumption) still? My F6 has 325mm rotors (same size as the DBA 4000s) afair and the calipers barely clear as it is now.

I have been looking into this as well as a basic upgrade. The rotors / brackets wont be ADR compliant that's all. The more metal the better the ability to absorb and dissipate heat, therefore a bigger rotor should technically always be better.

That will be a good upgrade. They will fit under the 18s fine. The braided lines are a bonus. That is a good cheap kit. Just fit some good quality pads, like police spec etc. and your car will stop great.

The larger rotor in this upgrade will give extra thermal capacity, however unless getting serious pads there is no real benefit.
