March 18, 201511 yr #31592 You gonna spill the beans yet Steve?Loan car or rental whilst yours gets "fixed"? Or new perk from work?
March 18, 201511 yr #31593 Crashed the car, wiped out the rear trying to drift like Arronm...front still good so engine swap Barra 245 I6 into Optima, transverse so it mates to the FWD properlyNew plates TORQSTEERComing to a highway near you! Edited March 18, 201511 yr by -Stever-
March 18, 201511 yr #31597 Ahhhh....so Steve did crash it then. what a NOOB lolOn a side note. Any blokes on here used semi slicks on a daily? Found a bargain price while trolling fleabay for AD08r Yokohama Advan 265/35/18....but being semi slicks and coming into winter, not sure how slippery it will get in the rain?I know I hated my Falken PT722 in the wet (used to slide out literally at 25kmh when turning in roundabouts, etc)....so trying to gauge whether I take the plunge or not. Comparing to my Goodyear EF1A2's which never slide unless WOT in wet (which I haven't been brave enough to do)...so not sure if I should risk it or just go a normal tyre. Seller used the term "Fine for the dry weather, and adequate in the wet"

March 18, 201511 yr #31599 Yeah here's hoping anyways....I'm about 85% sure I'll bite the bullet. Sellers rekons they are the perfect street/motorsport tyre....he said they aren't as bad as a full semi slick, and that he had one guy get 20,000kms from a set that did a few tracks days as well. But yeah....180 treadwear, so not sure how my driving style will go. Done around 23,000kms on the goodyears (300 treadwear) and I probably have a mm or 2 left before they hit the inside tyre indicator things.Cheap too...he's doing the pair for $550 delivered and the RRP is $467 according to website: http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/ADVAN-Neova-AD08.aspx2013 build date, so not too old.
