I've got one of those and they're pretty good for a netbook, reasonably priced (~500 on sale and It'd be something the Mrs can use around the house as well) and battery life is outstanding.my mini 9 arrived this morning, pretty tidy unit, going to fog it off to my old man once the mini 10 comes out with built in gps. probably going further away from your budget but should still stay less than 800 and will be able to running any mapping software without hastle of linking garmin or magellan etc. dell mini 10 this is it at the minute but says somewhere that built in gps will be avaiable soon. again just a suggestion
