Ok guys finaly did it..

Had all day free and managed to find $14 to get the spray... And I was lucky enough to have heaps of left over newspapers

Took about 3hrs to do the whole thing.. 45min to prep it and then paint and waiting for it to dry.

Yeah I was pondering about it for about an hr while I was waiting for it to dry.

hey can I just acid dip my intercooler to get all the black paint of it? will it come up silver ? if I acid dip it? the typhoon intercooler is just base with no paint black paint. am I right?

With the heat coming from inside my opinion is that the chrome paint will be less efficent is allowing it to radiate it out. Which is why chroming isn't done so much in engine bays anymore

Gasket remover is apparently safer. I used some on the crossover plenum as the paint was starting to peel anyway.

I like the look of it so I decided to do mine today. I managed to paint the whole thing from top to bottom on the front by masking everything up super dooper. looks awesome. heres a few pics. cheers craig
