Lygon has always been the 'highway', it just died out the last few years. I remember going to lygon for dinner and it was like a car show, always 'fully sick' VL turbos dosing up and down, also the skyliner's were always out. And when the Subarus were the car to have, you would always hear the boxer rumbles followed by the high pitched BOV's.

Then there was 'Chap laps', f*ck me it would take over 2 hours to get from one end to the other (about 1-2kms), all the Ginos would go there to impress all the 17 year olds walking up and down the street. If you needed a break from stop starting you would pull into the 'Safeway' car park and stand near your car and try to look at cool and as tuff as possible. It was when the cops did a lap that you would walk away from your car as if it wasnt yours so you wouldnt get that famous yellow sticker. Also near the KFC would be a 'Pull in here' from the cops who would give you a free roadworthy check if you were lucky, some nights they would have 5 to 10 cars lined up getting checked.

The best was Lygon street though when you would have the 'fully sick' VL turbos parking near a Farrari or lamboghini because apparently they thought they were in the same league

And dont forget Bell street Maccas in the 'old days' lol

Yeah I know its always been like that,, but a ss skating down the strip. 1 mistake and alot of people would have got taken out.. A motorbike going 100 in a 40 then going through every red light.. A 60's falcon flying up and down 10 times.. All it takes is for 1 person to walk out without looking and there f*cked
