I've finally got my drilled and slotted rotors on the car. (front only). Easy to fit and quite keenly priced at about $320 for the pair. as the hub is now separate to the disc, fittment is straight forward: -

1. remove wheel.

2. undo caliper bolts and pull caliper off disc.

3. grab disc with both hands and pull off hub.

4. take new disc and push onto hub.

5. slide caliper onto disc and install and tighten caliper bolts.

6. install wheel.

the discs look good - especially if your colour is acid rush because the centre of the rotors are gold in colour. the braking is noticably better at higher speeds. at 100km/hr freeway speed you can feel the stronger retardation. as soon as they are available for the rear I will be getting a set.

if anyone wants a photo let me know.

It will be interesting to see how long they last before the shuddering occurs, from what DBA steve has been saying everything should be sweet.

Let us know if you have any problems

guys, the only thing changed was the rotors - pads and calipers are all standard. I will post a couple of photos next week after I get back to work and can grab a camera. also I removed the metal dust covers - never liked the look of them.

cheers, scott

I seriously doubt you could call these a 'Premium Brake Alternative' they are still using the stock sized rotors for godsake, and the standard calipers.

The size, and hence heat sink capabilities of the rotor is what makes a performance brake package, as the brakes are just there to convert kinetic engery into heat (with minimal sound). So if you dont have a larger rotor you arent really achieving this are u..

Do the holes from the drilling and the slots disapate heat?

CnC> As they are drilled and slotted they are much higher performance than the originals even with the standard calipers and pads - the heat dissipation is increased quite significantly over the original items. Also, as they are heat treated rotors they will not warp like the originals are prone to do.
