Good point, time will be the final judge I guess!Should find out fairly quickly, as my shudder started after about 3000 k'sBut for now I am just enjoying the feeling of steady braking, and fingers crossed, that's the way they will stay
12/06/03 08:01 PM12/06/03 08:01 PM #35 It wouldn't hurt to put in a GOOD set of pads when they are released in a few weeks from Bendix or Formula Ferodo. It's good to see your pleased with the product and even better to know that retailers aren't taking advantage of the current situation.

The graese has two functions:1) Stops corrosion between the disc and the hub2) Ensures even temperature across the hub contact areaAlso it may allow the disc to expand and contract more evenly across the area.As far as I know DBA has not recommended this practice, but my experience tells me that it may provide some benefit
12/06/03 11:24 PM12/06/03 11:24 PM #39 Looks good Ninka. That is my plan with the brakes. I will get Ford to machine them once, and then they are getting swapped out for the DBA golds. Although I have 12000Kms up already and no shuddering, so I may have to drive them harder! dbasteve, not sure if you have mentioned in the previous brake thread, but when you say decent pads coming out shortly, what are the names of the products from Bendix or Ferodo that you recommend?
