Ive only asked for one and haven't seen it yet.Simple stuff. Power vs boost. Before and after with same boost to determine if there is a power difference

Against what my tune at 10 psi produces. If its the same or only marginally better I cannot justify the $3000 change over costs.$1300 for flasher$700 for custom tune$1000 to throw EMS in the binI would need to see at least a 25 rwkw gain and a much better torque curve, than I currently have.Mods would have to be as close to mine as well.My mods are CAI, larger injectors 440cfm, nizpro intercooler, Custom plumbing, Herrod exhaust cat back. Still using standard valve springs.Produce these numbers and you've won me over. There is no doubt that Edit is a potentially better product in the hands of a good tuner but $3000 is still $3000 that I could use in a better way on my car if there is no substanial gain. As I not a drag racer I see no reason to change just for the sake of it.macka

ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Legacy Donating Member 7,935 Member For: 22y 7m 3d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 11/03/05 11:46 AM Posted 11/03/05 11:46 AM I have a few Q's about the edit. Can I get the TC to default to Off ?Does the edit use the cam timing, and make the motor a true VVT ?If you go to the dealer and get a ECU update, will the flasher upload the latest stock tune into the flasher ?Thanks
Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 23y 8m 23d Posted 11/03/05 11:54 AM Posted 11/03/05 11:54 AM ..........$1000 to throw EMS in the bin..........As I not a drag racer I see no reason to change just for the sake of it.macka<{POST_SNAPBACK}>How can you blame anyone but yourselves for that..........that's not a cost of Edit...that's a cost of...whatever you want to call it, but nothing to do with us. Sell it to someone with a Gemini, or a boat or something like that.
Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 23y 8m 23d Posted 11/03/05 11:57 AM Posted 11/03/05 11:57 AM Thanks ShiftyDo you have your graph for boost vs power?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Heres an even better comparison Goose.Shiftys car is stock. Stock exhaust, stock valve springs, stock everything, just a set of injectors, and edit running 10psi. It ran 12.9 @ 112mph with 269rwkw.Now, what did your car run, and how many rwkw did it have?
NighEve Member 193 Member For: 22y 1m Posted 11/03/05 11:57 AM Posted 11/03/05 11:57 AM I think the other features you speak of initially Zap would be possible with custom tuning (something for a tuner to inform you about). As for the uploading of latest Ford maps; there's two things I will say about that.:1. Yes, as long as you load the factory map into the PCM before going to the dealer for the latest flash upload from Ford then this is exactly what you will get.2. I doubt you will care too much about whatever Ford have to offer map wise because a) it's usually crap - and that is an understatement b) it will not compare to even the generic maps on the flasher, and certainly not to a custom one.... So there's not much point getting updates from Ford unless you have to run the factory tune to return the car for a warranty reason, or you want to return your car to stock for resale. Joel.
