Hmmm pretty sure the factory system is 2 1/4" that's why we upgrade to a 2 1/2" cat back system? Ill measure it tomorrow anyhow.. It doesn't need a 'Y' piece... the factory rear muffler has 2 exits already, and the GT bit I bought has 2 exits from the muffler also, but is covered by the GT tip which makes it look like 1, if that makes sense.. Ill get a pic of it tomorrow...

Ohhh ok now I get it... Dunno man, will have to see it once finished, I like clean, simple cars and your going the opposite lol.. But each to there own.. That GTi on the previous page looked sh*t though, that white thing looked good..

Ok thanks mate, yeah tips aren't cheap esp I need 4 of the fukkers.. Think I'm gonna get these http://www.bestmuffl...8a1aba57fc3eac0 2 1/4" inlet and 3" outlet and straight cut. At $24.95 each they look pretty good?

Yeah FF, you have exactly what I'm after.. Where'd you get them? How much? Spinr33, yeah they were more just to get ideas, the best muffler website Pazz link'd me, has some good gear, so ill prob get them off there unless FF tells me where he got his..

Cheers Paz just what I needed... Went to supercheap auto today and they had a few, just not sure of the quality... Gonna try autobahn etc and a few exhaust shops tomorrow if they are open to checkout some others... Nah I don't need y pieces.. There are already 2 pipes that exit the muffler so just have to weld the new tips over the existing pipes.

Yeah he told me the same thing lol... just need to be smart enough to know the bullsh*t. I do my research before I mod my car so I have a good idea whats what, but I guess for the average joe it would suck. Black_S15, id say yes.. when I put different tips on my car it changed it a bit, my uncles had tips put on the same time as mine and it def changed the sound... Not a lot but different. Shy, Daz lives too far lol.. but I thought about it....

Lol.. I have nearly always gone to dandy exhausts for my exhaust work, on the Xr and my old VS.. From my experience I can't say a bad word about them.. But I know for something like this they arent a good choice hahaha.. But yea been hearing some good things about Barney so I'll go there.. Just need to find some tips now..

Looks good man, what ya use to do it? Hacksaw? Yeah FF 3" minimum.. I've got 2 3" on there now and I think they look normal so maybe even 3.5? 4" I think would look too big... Any good exhaust shops in the SE to get this done? Someone that will take the time to make it look good..

Ok so my looking around for a quad'ish setup is over.. I found a guy selling the part off a BF GT exhaust that exits on the left side of the car, so thus giving me dual exits. But can't decide on weather to keep the GT tips (will then need to find another BF GT tip) Or get 4 new tips Im leaning towards the 2nd pic. What do you reckon? Also anyone know where to go to get the 2nd opening cut out? Cheers Mike.
