Thanks for all the info guys... Superdan not really into games so nothing in that department.. Im really asking on behalf of my old man, what I was thinking is giving him my computer, its nothing special but would be perfect for his needs, and have him 'invest' a little into getting me a new computer.. Its a pentium 4 blabla, 2gig ram, 160gig HDD, 512mb video and 5.1 channel sound card, has an awsome wireless mouse(I've been through heaps and this one has stood up for ages now, only needing to change batteries once in 2 years I think). Wont really need a keyboard I dont think... What ya'll reckon? Also the plasma's owners manual says I need audio cables from the pc to the tv, and going by the pics the look sorta like AV sorta cables. My pc dont have those sort of sound outputs..

Good news.. the plasma accepts PC's... By far the easiest option.. For the PC, how gooda PC do I need. Im guessin any 'decent' computer would do as long as its got a big HDD to fit everything.. Would it need a really good video card so the picture would be at its best? Can ya get high def pc video cards? Wont be used for anything else than playin media through the TV.. Already have the rest of the home entertainment system... I cant wait to get this up and running, no more fuggin cd's

Hey, im after a media player. Its basically a Hard Drive that I can transfer media(movies, mp3's, photos etc..) onto, and that also allows me to connect to my plasma and play through that.. Have looked at ebay, and have found heaps, but just after something someone can recommend. Also it will need to support the usual movie types AVI, MPEG, DIVX etc... I think our plasma can also be hooked upto a computer so that would be another option I guess, but I'll have to confirm that.. That would be easier... Any info welcome.. Cheers Mike..

Well finally got off my ass and its a fine day in Melbourne(cant be done in the rain), so got my exhaust checked... Suprise, suprise, I passed hehee...I scored 84dB@3938rpm out of a max permitted 90dB. Oh and $37.50 out of pocket. Found a good way to 'pass' if you do have a loud exhaust.. The guy sets the mic up on a stand, bout 30-40cm from the exhaust tips, then sits in the car and begins to rev the car etc... Meanwhile im outside watching, and could have easily put a leg between the exhaust and mic, therefore passing... Worth a try IMO if you know your gonna have to go back to stock anyway hehehe...

Daalder in Dandy told me they wouldnt do it cause they were a licensed EPA tester... Go figure. Plasmid2, I forgot that you got yours at the Dandy Daalder, otherwise I would have brought it up.. Good new I PASSED, with a standard exhaust I would have been pissed if I didnt LOL

Slightly off topic.. Im gonna be gettin a sub box made for my 2 type R's.. I think they make each box seperate and stick em together. I was wondering if I asked them to port one of the box's and leave the other sealed, would it sound sh*t? I was kinda after the best of both worlds. I listen to mainly r&b so mainly want alot of BASS. I occasionally dabble in some house/dance so would like some 'punch' also.. Anythoughts??
