  1. Hi lads I've ordered a plazmaman coolant tank and the aeroflow thermostat housing and as the OEM tank doesn't have the second bleed valve, will there be an issue connecting the second hose from the tank to the thermo housing?? Also what does that second hose do?? as I've seen some falcons with two and some (like mine) with only one. See pictures if you're just as confused as me. Cheers
  2. Awesome! Cheers boys that's a big help, I'll definitely be doing both those things... 🤙🏻
  3. Hi ladies and gents I've recently replaced my stock turbo with a procharge 67mm low mount however I'm not happy with the OEM heat shield in the engine bay, its getting old and looks grubby. Has anyone replaced this with a turbo blanket or similar?? Or would I be sacrificing performance for pure aesthetics?? Advice would be much appreciated. Cheers Chad
  4. before wank wing delete. Got to send it in to get the holes patched properly but temp fix with rubber grommets Went with QFM HPX pads braided brake lines and T3 rear rotors. front T3's already done braided lines fronts in They gave me the wrong lines for the rear so another job down the track Massive difference in stopping power now with this all done!!! stoked
  5. CORRECTION...... Reverse globes, my bad lol
  6. So after many weeks of heart ache and frustration from taking all the piping off checking for cracks, leaks, punctures, etc etc etc. I finally took it into FPT and you're not going to believe what it was...... I installed some sh*tty ebay spec led parker bulbs a while ago and they were apparently tricking the computer to think that it was in reverse, hence low boost and throttle body opening letting out boost. A few runs on the dyno and replacement of parker bulbs has FINALLY fixed her! You get what you pay for.
  7. Update - Tuner not registering, interior lights not turning on, and headlamp fault code fixed. It was an OBD sensor fuse blown, easy fix. Large boost leak still working through.
  8. Cheers, I'll do some more research..... @Puffwagon Cleared up a lot thanks!
  9. @Puffwagon By venting holes you mean the crankcase vent and the PCV right? which would mean I should do the PCV next. From what I read the crankcase breather is to allow gases to escape, catching oil, and grabbing fresh air from the air intake therefore why would I need a one way valve for my catch can if I have a breather filter eliminating pressurisation?? @arronm Cheers for the info guys! The to do list keeps on getting longer and longer
  10. All I had before was a crankcase breather filter that was spewing oil in my engine bay so thought I'd have to sort that out. However the PCV I noticed is plugged into the intake manifold, is that what you mean? Also I've heard you need a separate catch can for both the pcv and crankcase?
  11. Yea I have the plazmaman relo kit and have sandpapered clean the negative point also sprayed all the points with anti corrosion spay. When I got the new battery I also bought a new negative terminal clamp as the plazmaman one was too large and was loose.
  12. Crankcase breather catch can.
  13. Yea I got a new battery, that fixed my air con problem as the old battery was only at 50% CCA but nothing else. After I drove away it was still in limp mode with no codes I called battery world and told him and he said he had a similar case to mine the other week with a merc and apparently they found that there was an OBD sensor fuse blown and that fixed it. However more strange things are happening, my interior lights don't turn on anymore, my ute turns on now without depressing the clutch, I had headlight faults pop up, and my XCAL4 doesn't even turn on when I plug it in. With regards to the limp mode, that just stopped this morning but when it hits boost at 16psi I have this hissing sound like it's venting to atmospher on the turbo side and then it drops to 4psi then climbs again then drops, I've checked all my piping and nothing is loose or out of place. My guess is it may be a boost leak????
  14. Just tried disconnecting the battery and flashed back to stock and returned to tune but still in limp mode. I'll get a new battery will a higher CCA tomorrow like you said and see how that goes. Fingers crossed its only the battery! cheers guys
  15. Hey lads So got some issues and in need of some help solving them??? The story goes for the past couple of months my air con has been very temperamental, the first time it didn't work I took it to an air con shop and he just disconnected the positive from the battery and bam it started working again. So that was a band-aid that helped me through for a while but it has been doing it more and more and pretty much every time now I have no working air con. I also at the time took it to battery world and ol mate said my battery is fine. Along with this my central locking has been temperamental sometimes working sometimes not as in it activates the alarm system but doesn't lock the doors. Next, lately when I turn it on it takes a bit to tick over and start, then yesterday it wouldn't start but then when I put the clutch in its started (that has never done that before). Now after the clutch incident I took her for a drive and shes gone into full limp mode. It drives but just barely any boost. There are no codes which I've checked with my xcal4. I've disconnected and reconnected the battery. I called an auto electrician and he didnt want a bar of it as its modified and said to talk to my tuner. Help a brother out???? cheers
  16. JET cheers for all the info mate! You've sold it to me that's for sure.....I'll keep yous posted
  17. Cheers bro, I'll look into it
  18. Suggestions???
  19. Cheers mate that's the kind of confidence I was looking for
  20. Yea I've heard they create a lot of brake dust which I do not want, but cheers.
  21. Hey lads Happy new year soon! But car parts is life lol. So I am in dire need for new rear rotors and brake pads all round as I'm getting heavy shudder, I took it into a mechanic who put front dba t3 rotors on and new crap repco brake pads all round and have been back 4 times to try and figure out why the shudder. I got the rear stock brembo rotors machined, no help. I gave up on mechanics and decided just to do things myself. I changed them out with another set of second hand rotors, no go too. So I'm just going to change them out with some new DBA t3 rear rotors and brake pads all round and see if that fixes it. However I've done some research on brake pads and HOLY sh*t there is a lot to choose from! So my question is to all the barra gods out there is, where should I start??? I'm heavy on the brakes often but no track days as of yet and I hate hate hate brake dust!!! I have learnt ceramic is the way to go for little brake waste and am willing to pay a bit extra to get good performance with no rim muck........ I'm in Brisbane, has anyone had any dealings with Brakes direct? or know anywhere that does rotors and brake pads at a reasonable price? P.s. I've got 4 pot brembo fronts and 1 pot OEM rear. Cheers
  22. Some small mods, loving these though!!
  23. Cheers for all the info guys!! legends!! Yea I thrash it pretty much every time I drive, I cant help myself really its an itch I've gotta scratch. My average economy is 20L/100km and I want something I can punish and that won't break on me. I try to be as nice as I can to my clutch but the punishment mostly comes from driving it hard, nil by burnouts etc. From what I can gather from everyone is NPC is the way to go, not one of you have even tickled the notion of Exedy ??? I don't care about the clunking and other noise, that'll get me off lol but I'm going to look into the twin plate ceramic.... Cheers lads!! much appreciated JETURBO I'll PM you,
  24. Hey lads and ladies (maybe) So I've met my first power goal of 500hp and am in need of a new clutch very soon as I only have the stock FG F6 one. Any advice on clutches I should be considering???? my next power goal will be the 700hp mark so want something that's not going to clap out and take a beating but still relatively light for city driving. My mate will be putting the EXEDY DEVIL CLUTCH (ceramic and organic) in his XR6T which is pushing 700hp and he said he'll be able to get this for cheap through the business for me. Has anyone got any experience with EXEDY??? if so any info would be much appreciated and prices etc..... also any advice on mechanics in Brisbane to do the labour. Cheers Chad
  25. before after Not sure if the stock throttle body pipe is supposed to be this shape but it looks to me that its melted over time???? before No 310 anymore ;P
