Would love to join up with you guys on this cruise. Will know closer to the time if I'm able to attend (provided it gets voted in). I would've loved to go on the Otways Cruise but it's just too far to travel in 1 day from here. Anyhoo, I think the road you are referring to as the "mini great ocean road" is the Bunurong Coastal Drive. It's a 14km trek from Inverloch to Cape Patterson and is beautiful. Cape Patterson is tucked in just behind Wonthaggi about 5kms up the road. Instead of turning left at the roundabout in Wonthaggi onto the Bass Hwy, you travel straight through. I'm on holiday atm and my wife and I are taking a day trip up to Wilsons Prom tomorrow (today now - better get to bed soon). I'll look out for any other landmarks that may be of interest and post back.

Maybe she died of a silicone overdose?- Advice Needed From The Pc Experts
Thanks for your help guys. Well I'm finally convinced to go with the Core 2 duo. I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to finding something I like and sticking with it. But the advice and reviews have swung me around. I'll also go with the 2bg ram. I had all intentions of eventually going up to 2gb but didn't want to break the budget. But this will make it easier to wait for the supposed drop in prices on the graphics cards in March. I can also see how much the mid-range DX10 cards will be when they are released - although I don't think I'll be able to afford one. As for the mobo, I'm going to stick with the gigabyte name and get one of those GA-965G-DS3 boards. Unless someone can point me in the direction of something roughly the same for cheaper. Thanks again- Anna Nicole Smith
Must have been the weight of her (.)y(.) that brought her down..- Unbelievable - Outrageous Water Bill
I can't believe that your normal bill is $170!! Our last quarter was $13.51 and we've never had a quarterly bill bigger than $27. Anyhoo, back on topic. I'd take a day off work but do everything as normal (leave for work etc) and then park the car in a side street. Then make your way back home (perhaps over the other neighbours fence) and wait for the thieving *beep* to do his thing. Cos there's no way known that you have a leak (of that volume) without some sort of evidence (like your house floating away). If you see him doing it, take a photo or video of him doing it and call the police.- Got A Spare $195 Million?
LOL, imagine the deposit required..- Mako Sunglasses
I've never understood the need to buy sunglasses that cost so much. I've had a pair of Oakleys once (given as a present) and they were scratched, sat on and then finally stolen. Since then I've only ever bought $10 glasses and have had them for years before they are thrown away and replaced at the next servo. Horses for courses I guess..- Advice Needed From The Pc Experts
Yeah, I was thinking about that this morning when looking at the vid cards. I probably will but I have to speak to the bank manager first and get approval from her- Advice Needed From The Pc Experts
Been there, done that. Sold my 360 a couple of months ago when I was over gaming. I might still pick up a 360 again when the price drops and they bring out the next version (which is rumoured to be quieter and quicker). It all depends on which games are hot and which are not at the time. My current pc is also 7 years old and I need an upgrade. May as well do it well while I have the money to do so. Thank You. I had read something like that before but couldn't remember which was better (nvid or radeon)- Advice Needed From The Pc Experts
Thanks for the replies guys. This is the other card that I have been looking at: XFX PV-T71P-UDD7 Geforce 7900GS XXX Edition, 256MB GDDR3, PCI Express, Dual DVI, HDTV, SLI, 20 Pipeline, 600/1600mhz All the numbers pretty much mean diddly squat to me. Is this card better for gaming? I really don't want to spend more than $350 on the video card.- 2008 Falcon
Not sure If I like the idea of blinkers on the mirrors. IMO, it takes away the sporty look and replaces it with a luxury look. I find it odd that they'd enhance the V8's and F6 motor and leave the turbo unchanged. Even a 5-10kw increase wouldn't cheapen their more expensive models.- Advice Needed From The Pc Experts
I'm building a mid range gaming pc. Previous pc's have been HP crapolas that have been good for office workers but no good as gaming machines. Originally I was going to buy a custom pc with a budget of around $1000 but soon realised that my budget wouldn't stretch far. Because I'm now buying the components as I can afford them my budget will stretch that little bit further. I have already bought the case, HDD and dvd writer. Case : Thermaltake Soprano with 430w PSU HDD : Western Digital WD3200KS 320gb 7200rpm 16mb SATAII/300 DVD: Pioneer DVR-111DSV Silver DVD Writer, 16x DVR+/-R, 8x DVD+/-R Dual Layer, 40x CDRW, 16x DVDROM, UDMA 66 I need advice on the motherboard and graphics card. I've decided to go the AMD cpu (probably a single core AMD AM2 4000+) instead of the Intel because of RAM compatability issues with the Intel CPU's. I don't have a need for the dual core CPU's as yet and can always upgrade when prices drop. I've been told that the best bang for buck CPU for gaming is the Intel Core 2 Duo's but not all RAM works with them. The RAM I was referred to is the Corsair Extreme but I'm looking at prices of $350+ for a 2024mb kit. Once again though I do not have a need for a dual core cpu. I've been looking at the HIS X1950PRO-ICEQ3T-D3D video card (found here: http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/20723 and was wondering if anyone has had experience with these cards? I've read up on the card at all of the PC sites but am looking for an unbiased opinion as all the pc sites seem to have their favourite companies. For the mobo I've been looking at the Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G and have pretty much settled on it, unless someone tells me that it's crap and to look elsewhere. So all up the system will look like this once built: Thermaltake Soprano Midi Tower with 430w PSU $135 AMD AM2 4000+ CPU $165 Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G Mobo $129 HIS X1950PRO-ICEQ3T-D3D video card $335 Corsair Value Select 1GB PC5300 (667mhz) DDR2 RAM CAS5 $165 Western Digital WD3200KS 320gb 7200rpm 16mb SATAII/300 HDD $145 Pioneer DVR-111DSV Silver DVD Writer $55 Total cost = $1129 Any advice appreciated.. If they truly want to stop the violence then stop serving the alcohol. Putting a ban on a flag isn't going to solve matters, only make them worse. For the most part I'm against using drugs but have you ever seen a massive brawl at a rave? Nope, me either. I've used drugs in the past and used to go to raves and recoveries all the time and not once did I ever see any kind of real trouble. I worked security at many doof doof clubs around the Melbourne CBD area and it was the cruisiest job ever. I also worked many clubs in the South Eastern and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and we could always count on a fun filled night with brawls and loads of trouble makers - with the police being called at least 2-3 times a night in some clubs. Even the coppers used to say to us that they should legalise drugs and ban alcohol when talking about the violence surrounding drunk teenagers.- Any You Think You Have Computer Problems ?
We have a similiar dilemna going on.. We used to have STD and mobile phone calls with a second carrier called Your Telecom. All local calls were through Telstra. When we moved houses though Telstra offered us a better deal to come back to them on all calls. So we took the offer and Telstra disconnected us from Your Telecom. Anyway 2 months after we moved we received a bill from Your Telecom for $48. Thinking it was our last bill from them we paid it and thought nothing more about it. 2 weeks later we had a ban placed on our phone for local calls. So we called Telstra and asked what the deal was. They said they hadn't placed a ban on our line and it was showing as active on their end. After 90 minutes on the phone to them they agreed to re-activate the line even, even though in their opinion, there was nothing wrong with it. All was fixed until a week later we received another bill from Your telstra and the phone was barred again. Knowing that we no longer had an account with them we rang them and asked what their deal was. They told us that we no longer had an account with them . We told them we know that but how can we receive a bill if we have no account ? This stumped the operator and he passed us onto a supervisor. The supervisor told us that he had fixed the problem and within the hour the ban would be lifted from our phone. Once again, it was explained that there was a glitch in the system. The funniest part was that they tried to get us back as a customer An hour later there was no change, except that our phone was no longer able to make ANY phone calls. Due to the holiday season down here we didn't have days off and couldn't call from anywhere else. We were without a phone for over a month!! Finally my wife got in touch with them from work and they said we hadn't paid our last bill. We told them we didn't have an account with them any longer and that they owed us $48. They told us the phone wouldn't be unbarred until we paid. So we called Telstra again (from work mind you) and explained what was happening and they agreed to overide Your Telecom for us. Telstra explained what they had done was to take back the std and mobile phone accounts without approval from both Telstra and us and recommenced billing us, which is highly illegal. After 6 weeks of no phone we finally got our phone back. Telstra are taking legal action against them, reimbursing our line rental for 3 months and wiping our account of any owed monies. We are also seeking legal action against Your Telecom to see where we stand, on advice from Telstra. I've knocked Telstra in the past for shoddy customer service but the technicians that helped us were brilliant. They even gave us their direct number (not the 13 numbers you always have to use) should we have any other problems.- F6 - Heat6 Police/pursuit Car
Looks like they've definitely given it a shunt (looks like into a towbar) because the outside casing is missing too.- Why Idiots Should Be Shot
I agree but a tow truck would have been the smarter option. Why the hell he was trying to move a 1 1/2 ton car,2 metres in the air is just top heavy and crazy. ← Not allowed to tow a vehicle even in a tow away zone. I've seen these pics before. My take on the direction of the car is this: In the first picture you can see where he has crashed through the barrier. If you look above the car one of the support poles is also bent. I think he has gone through the barrier and gone airborne. The car hits the pole on the rhs front fender and the impact spins it around 180 degrees, where it slides to a stop against the boulders. Lucky bastard either way you look at it..- Grille Dilemna
Well I bought the upper and lower chrome grille and have now contacted themeshman to have them returned. I'm not entirely happy with taking a 'hacksaw blade' anywhere near my car to fit the lower grille. I'm also not happy with fitting the upper grille over the top of the exisitng grille. You can still see the original black grille showing through (placed grille over the top to see how it looked) and it's only held down by zip ties. Very disappointed to say the least. - Anna Nicole Smith
