Whats 300Rwkw Like To Drive?
Nice find.

Boost Issue
Don't think it can be. You can see the ignition advance going from 8 or 9 to -13 or 14 then back to 8 or 9 within 0.something of a sec. What should the manifold pressure be in relation to the read boost pressure? Edit Boost + atmospheric pressure = manifold pressue Back to the drawing board.

Whats 300Rwkw Like To Drive?
Sounds great :-) Shame you're the other end of the island. Who's going to do the work? Where did you find the bits? Personally around 280 to 310 would be my sweet spot. But as you're putting on a stage 2 you might like to retain the cat to keep the power down, otherwise it's going to go a lot higher than 300. Also a good call on the clutch. Forget the drags, it's a manual, which means you'll break the driveline.

Boost Issue
Drags again yesterday. Still running slow, 115 mph driven in Perf Auto. Theoretically car has 400 rwkw, so mph is way down. To those who spotted the high manifold pressure, spot on. At the tuner this morning who was talking to me about the 2 sensors, one in the intercooler piping and one in the manifold. I then had a flashback to the comments in this thread, eureka. We may have an answer. Thanks to those who spotted it

Flexibility Times In 4Th Gear (80-120 Kph)
Well did the rolling test and did 2.6 secs.

Flexibility Times In 4Th Gear (80-120 Kph)
I take it the Motor mag is the Oz version. Scan? All those results are from euro mags. Test may be different. Just don't belive that a 400rwKw barra turbo is up there with the fastest cars tested.

Flexibility Times In 4Th Gear (80-120 Kph)
Yup, I read it and frankly I'll need to see a link. Great if it is rolling 'cos that's a whole different kettle of fish. And again, how are people (on here) doing their timing, stopwatch?

Flexibility Times In 4Th Gear (80-120 Kph)
How are you guys timing your runs? Also I'm sure it's not a rolling start. Hold a steady 80 then floor it, without hitting the kickdown button. Using my datalogger I get 4.6 secs.

Boost Issue
Boost is 17.5psi when I log it at WOT, on the gear change it goes to 22psi. Has been ported twice. Once by a previous mob, and bigger again by my present tuner. Larger flapper of course.

Boost Issue
Still no result with the overboosting on the gear changes. Tuner is all out of ideas. Anyone have any knowledge on this, so I can tell the tuner to look somewhere? If not, would an aftermarket boost controller cure the problem? Is it that much of a problem anyway? Thanks for any help.

Replacement 19" Tyres
Good mileage or good adhesion? One or the other, not both. I have Bridgestone RE11s, they are very soft. My advice would be Toyo T1Rs as you need them pronto.

Traction Control
Was data logging when the traction control light came on, shows the throttle being closed.
-
Boost Issue
Update Tuner turns off all torque mangement and no more throttle closing. Ratter was spot on. No wonder it was slow, like driving a manual ;-) Still have to resolve the overboost on gear changes. Something to be resolved with the next tune. Roll on Christmas Eve.

Boost Issue
Sorry cant answer that. Foot was flat on the floor is all I know.

Boost Issue
It's a gear change, that data is from the drags.

Here's a quick squirt on to the motorway today. Throttle 100% when the boost cuts. throttle.rtf

Boost Issue
Using Rev2 with Iphone and KiwiPLX. Not sure Ratter as to where it's getting the readings from. The revs seem normal for a first to second change, just the loss of boost. I guess the question is whether the problem is in the tune or a mechanical issue. Would an EBoost fix the issue? IH8TOADS, yes your graph shows an interesting top end ;-) Limited on the PID the KiwiPlx can pick up, but will have a look at throttle position, fairly certain it doesn't read torque control. Thanks.

Boost Issue
Doesn't appear to be flaring. Didn't manually shift as it was first time after the rebuild and wanted to eliminate one thing from the equation. Octane boost 'cos I melted a couple of pistons last time and a little extra insurance won't do any harm!

No one with any suggestions? Shoot that's no good. The guy who tuned the car has no idea what's going on, so looks like I'm sh*t out of ideas and luck. Living in NZ has its disadvantages.

Knocking From Engine
Winter BFT said, '20psi+standard bottom end= rods (usually) hope it holds up dude. that's an awsome power figure!' Lets hope he's wrong!

More background info. Ported and bigger flapper wastegate. PW surge tank. 50 km off a full tank of gas with Wynns octane booster. That run was with car in D perf with no stall up. [email protected] 2.206 60ft.
