  1. This is a thread from August 06. Prices may have changed now
  2. My MAP is in PSI. Or so it says on my datalogger. Atmos press, 14.7 or there abouts + boost press = MAP It is correct in all the logs.
  3. Don't think it can be. You can see the ignition advance going from 8 or 9 to -13 or 14 then back to 8 or 9 within 0.something of a sec. What should the manifold pressure be in relation to the read boost pressure? Edit Boost + atmospheric pressure = manifold pressue Back to the drawing board.
  4. Sounds great :-) Shame you're the other end of the island. Who's going to do the work? Where did you find the bits? Personally around 280 to 310 would be my sweet spot. But as you're putting on a stage 2 you might like to retain the cat to keep the power down, otherwise it's going to go a lot higher than 300. Also a good call on the clutch. Forget the drags, it's a manual, which means you'll break the driveline.
  5. Drags again yesterday. Still running slow, 115 mph driven in Perf Auto. Theoretically car has 400 rwkw, so mph is way down. To those who spotted the high manifold pressure, spot on. At the tuner this morning who was talking to me about the 2 sensors, one in the intercooler piping and one in the manifold. I then had a flashback to the comments in this thread, eureka. We may have an answer. Thanks to those who spotted it
  6. I take it the Motor mag is the Oz version. Scan? All those results are from euro mags. Test may be different. Just don't belive that a 400rwKw barra turbo is up there with the fastest cars tested.
  7. Yup, I read it and frankly I'll need to see a link. Great if it is rolling 'cos that's a whole different kettle of fish. And again, how are people (on here) doing their timing, stopwatch?
  8. How are you guys timing your runs? Also I'm sure it's not a rolling start. Hold a steady 80 then floor it, without hitting the kickdown button. Using my datalogger I get 4.6 secs.
  9. Boost is 17.5psi when I log it at WOT, on the gear change it goes to 22psi. Has been ported twice. Once by a previous mob, and bigger again by my present tuner. Larger flapper of course.
  10. Still no result with the overboosting on the gear changes. Tuner is all out of ideas. Anyone have any knowledge on this, so I can tell the tuner to look somewhere? If not, would an aftermarket boost controller cure the problem? Is it that much of a problem anyway? Thanks for any help.
  11. Good mileage or good adhesion? One or the other, not both. I have Bridgestone RE11s, they are very soft. My advice would be Toyo T1Rs as you need them pronto.
  12. Was data logging when the traction control light came on, shows the throttle being closed.
  13. Update Tuner turns off all torque mangement and no more throttle closing. Ratter was spot on. No wonder it was slow, like driving a manual ;-) Still have to resolve the overboost on gear changes. Something to be resolved with the next tune. Roll on Christmas Eve.
