  1. Also different brakes now for the G6ET, than in the old model, all the turbo versions have different brakes than the series 1...
  2. Also, yes I had to point out the differences to the salesman at three different dealerships I visited getting quotes etc, was a bit disappointing they didn't know what updates had been made to their updated flagship!
  3. Looks like I have got the changes covered then. BTW, the new sat nav is a breeze to use, I have had many different types over the years and need to use it numerous times every day (I do 35 000 city Kim's a year, mainly to new clients addresses) this is the best yet, Also, not so sure power peddles is an option now??
  4. Hi guys, I have a three year old series 1 G6ET, 90 000km, have loved it except for a few little niggles. I have just ordered the MKll, I have seen a few differences between the two that I have managed to pick out, but the dealerships are not too up to date with the differences. What I have picked are, Different holder for Ipod in centre console, with a USB Port added Bluetooth music streaming Sat Nav included Larger info Screen Mute button on Steering wheel Obviously different front grill Lockable Fuel cap Slight difference with the spacer between the steering wheel buttons 19 inch wheels standard dichloric low beam headlamps Led running lights instead of Fog lights Fuel efficiency a little better ??? does anyone know of anything different that has been added, especially the running gear, suspension etc? Also, can of worms, what is the the colour that does the car the most justice???? Regards JJ
  5. G'Day Guys,Any update on these tyres? I need to update mine pronto. Are they still performing? How are they in the Wet? How is the Mileage going, to you think you will get more than 30 000kms out of them. Thanks
  6. I have a G6E Turbo, and have the19" wheels, from what im told 30 000 is doing well, if I hadnt got a puncture and ruined a trye I probably would have got 35 000 or so out of them. I Did have Bob Janes suggest the 4 x Goodyear Asymmetric, but last time I listened to them they sold me rubbish tyres, so I am being more careful this time. How long have you had them on for? are the quieter than the standard? Grip levels? and what did you get out of the last set you had? Sorry for so many questions but at $460.00 per tyre I am trying to make as an informed decision as I can. Thanks for your time. Rgd's
  7. G'Day Guys, I am about to hit 30 000K's, the tyres probably still have another 4000 to 5000 km's left on them, but unfortunately last week I got a puncture near the wall of the tyre and it is now stuffed, I have the spare on the car now with a flat tyre in the boot. I need to make a decision on what tyres to put on fairly quick (Murphys law will see that I get another puncture very soon) Has anyone replaced their tyres yet and if so what seems to be the best without huge amounts of road noise or that are so soft I will get get less than the 30 000 I got from the originals. To replace them with the originals they are $560.00 each.... OUCH Any feedback would be useful. thanks
  8. the manual is very confusing, I don't know if ford fixed it (they tried a few things but didn't think they had) or I accidentally set it up correctly after Ford looked at it, either way it now works a dream and is a brilliant feature. But now I have another challenge: Mine doesnt reset the seats from unlocking with the remote key, you actually have to get in and push one of the memory buttons. If my wife drives it using my key (which is normal as the spare key id put away somewhere safe) and she moves the seat, gets out and locks the car without moving the seat back this now becomes the new memory position. In my last car, if you unlock it using the key remote the seats would automatically move back to the memory position of that particular key, this is a very useful feature. I think my seat module is stuffed but Ford cant tell me if this is normal or not........ Does anyone know if the seat should move when unlocking with the remote? Thanks

  10. Hi Guys, My Battery goes flat if I leave it parked for two or three days, ford claim it is the electric seat module not shutting down and constantly draining power. Ford have apparently ordered a replacement for me to install at next service (two weeks time), I will post an update if this fixes the problem, other than that I will remind them about the electic mirror auto dip module.

  12. Hi Guys, This does seem like a silly question, and yes I have tried to follow the manual, but, has anyone tried to set the key so that it remembers your seat and mirror settings so that when you unlock the car everything automatically goes to the setting you have recorded on that particular key? I have tried but don't seem to have the sequence right when setting as my keys do not seem to retain the setting. any help would be appreciated, other than that I would say its another niggly fault that Ford neen to adress with the car when in for its service. Best Regards

    My New Car

Very Nice, and that is a ridiculously low price, was it a Demo Model or something? Have you tried to program the LEft hand mirror auto dip function yet? I have been trying to resolve the problem of this and the memory seats not sticking when you turn the car off and leave it. You don't happen to have an IPhone that you would be connecting up to it do you? Appart from these two little niggles I have found mine to be just an amazing car, hope you enjoy yours as much as in enjoy mine.
  14. Has anyone tried to use a IPhone with the Bluetooth yet?, I have been using a motorola v9 and everything works perfectly, so I bought an Iphone, I can make calls perfectly but when I have an incoming call it does not recognise it nor can I answer it. The Iphone is listed as compatable by Ford. I now have an Iphone that I cannot use. Thanks
  15. Has anyone had troubles with the storing of the seat and left hand rear vision mirror of the G6ET (the mirror is meant to tilt doen to your preset level when yoi engage reverse). The Manual is very confusing, I have had ford look at it and they cant work it out either. We can set the seat memory and the mirror memory, but if you turn the car off and walk away for an hour or so it loses the lot. I am hoping that I am just setting it incorrectly, and it is not a problem. Any tips on how to set these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks JJ
