  1. It feels like a drank 2 bottles of whiskey and am now in my 2nd day of hangover. Haha should be all good soon enough though.
  2. Got my second covid jab (pfizer) a couple of days ago. Sucks balls yo
  3. There are hobbyists and there are tradesmen and while the former generally share info, the latter have to work for many years, and in the case of tuners, generally pay many thousands of dollars for training to attain their higher level of info and imho are in no way obliged to share it. In other news you don't need boost control with a stiff enough spring
  4. It's pretty easy to do but make sure you leave a landing area for the closest end of the flap (to the housing) or it could jam open. You can almost make the hole slightly D shaped but not so extreme.
  5. Hard to tell if your thumb is bending or the shaft is moving. There will be a little bit of shaft play and there will be a little bit of noise. Sometimes you can hear the turbo winding down when you get out of the car after you switch it off.
  6. Or just use all the springs and run all the boost all the time. Works everytime half the time all the time
  7. Yeah I hear ya man. I hit 140kg on the bench this arvy but couldn't do 150. It didn't help that I'd already done a few sets but there's always next month Gettin there slowly
  8. Ah ok well hopefully you get it sorted and can get some respite from the injury.
  9. Maybe you're sleeping on your arm and squashing the nerve overnight. Brian Shaw, a famous strongman had that issue. I get pins and needles in my hands during the night if I sleep on my arm too.
  10. Dems the ones I bought and have made all kinds of power with them. Bayford Vic is always cheap and sends your sh*t asap. I've used them plenty.
  11. That sucks. I've had bursitis on occasion and it sucks hairy donkey balls. What's wrong with your hand?
  12. Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaahhhhh Nothing like lifting weights under the back porch and getting somewhat rained on in the process. Doesn't matter, made gains
  13. I've got a set of second hand coils you can have if you want them. Dunno how good they are cos I never used them.
  14. Don't buy another set from them. Get another set elsewhere and make them refund your money.
  15. Back in the gym aka the back yard
  16. They are nankang ns2r and cost roughly $150 per tyre. The come in a couple of tread wears, 80 and 120. I can't really say how long they last as I would always do a skid or 6, so they would be farked within a month or two.
  17. Yeah 275 semi slicks fit. Here is a side view of my stock rear wheel with a 255 on it. It looks like a normal wheel tyre combo.
  18. Get an annual license cos it cost frig all and you'll save a few bucks over the year.
  19. Eh an hour's not really that far, even if you do have to go back again once the weather warms up. Another thing to remember is that you have a smaller turbo than before so it will be more responsive, but will flow about the same or slightly more than a stock turbo, so boost creep shouldn't be any worse than what it is now.
  20. You don't need those mods unless you want all the boost. You can easily make 10 to 12 psi on a stock actuator and turbine housing, which should net you 250 to 270awkw, give or take. Aaron does have a point about the dyno stuff regarding the power measurement but I reckon you can get it close to 95% done if you already have a lot of dyno experience, have done a sh*tload of ford tuning and use knock ears when on the road. If not then yeah nah you won't be nearly close enough to charge a decent tuning fee. I've personally gone down that road so ole bellbat is on the money here imo. The thing with a stock intercooler is you will want to keep the boost as low as possible and make up the power with timing, which sounds like these guys aren't going to do if they are recommending a 12psi actuator.
  21. See that bolt next to the oil feed and the other one next to the coolant line? The ones that are in the exhaust housing. They can back out and also the turbine housing can crack causing an exhaust leak. Have a look opposite the black stuff and see if the bolt is still in there.
  22. One of the many joys of being a mechanic.
