I think it's a little silly not driving any Ford or FPV range as a daily. It's not like you're spending $100k+ on them. If I owned a farkin 911 Twin Turbo I might garage it, but it's just a Ford! I'd rather spend the extra insurance, rego, servicing, tyres, petrol, time AND effort into keeping it in good condition as opposed to a daily bomb. Once you modify these things it doesn't really matter how many k's you've done, it's still a limited market to sell to unless you convert it back to stock... My 2 c

They can search anything if they have reasonable suspicion that you are carrying something illegal (eg. drugs, stolen goods, etc.). They must state their purpose for doing so before they do. I don't know what happens if you refuse to let them gain entry to your vehicle?
