  2. Hey Tex, heard you went for a drive in Pauls car and loved it! That's why your aiming for 300+ I guess! Shane, will be good to catch up. Come on Brisbane boys, show some support! Rob.
  3. I will be there to support Paul...top bloke!

  5. They are all right to a degree. It's true that if the polarity is reversed on some of your speakers but not others you will have some speakers running out of phase and that will cause a bass cancellation. Your speakers cone should push out on a beat, not inwards otherwise your door which is supposed to act as the speaker box is now getting all of the sound being pushed in towards it. Also, your power handling becomes alot lower. Best to get the polarity right on all your speakers. You can use a db test cd to test the polarity. If you need to test the polarity of speakers, use a 1.5v AA battery and watch wich way the cone moves as you connect the power. If it moves back, reverse the wires until you know which way the polarity goes. Rob.
  6. I must say I too spoke with Paul for around half an hour and he was willing to put in the time to talk to me. Knows his stuff! Might be a little more costly than others but in my opinion it is worth every cent for good service. My beast is going straight to Paul once I get the new exhaust and intercooler for him to work his magic. Great to see a reputable tuner in Brissie, you've got a lot of business coming your way Paul! Will catch up with you next week. Good figures cv8z for your mods, I guess the proof realy is in the pudding! Good work Paul. Rob.
  7. At least they are acting on it while some of us Ford owners still own lemons and can't get them fixed, two years after buying them?????
  8. Has anyone found the 'correct' part numbers for the hose as yet?
  9. What sort of warranty do they have and where do we send them back if there is a problem? Will there be a tax invoice? At least with Nick I am safe if I ever have a problem.
  10. Ok, so now you have a tan, are slightly taller and have lots of women around you!
  11. How will you interface the gauges? OBD or just an analogue I/O board hooked up to the various sensors (might be easier) I have been doing alot of research into the carputer also and am going to put together a package using a 16 bit Anlogue I/O board with 8 inputs and 8 digital outputs. I can then write the software for it in VB Script. Also, I am looking at getting a touch screen overlay, have you seen them? Are they any good? They are USB so shouldn't be too hard to interface. I was also going to use a button on the screen (made in VB Script) to turn off the ICC overlay via the screen, should be a nice touch. Yours is looking good though. You will be able to hook the amplified signal up to another amp, but you will not get a multiplied gain (eg 1st amp is 9db and 2nd is 10db you will not get a 19db gain) but you will get some gain. Rob
  12. Yeah why not. How do you like them? Tall...blonde.....brunette?

The different coloured RAM slots are there so you can install them to run in Dual Channel mode for greater speed or just single channel mode depending on your requirements. Read up on your motherboard book and you will see what I mean, they will usually explain how duel channel RAM works. If you want to use dual channel RAM, try and buy them in matched pairs! And don't skimp on RAM, you pay for what you get and low cost RAM can be the cause of many problems that are hard to troubleshoot. My .02c Rob.
  21. Im sure there is room for more somewhere there.... ← Oh come on mate, be serious........I don't want to look like a bogun!

  25. Only problem is....some of these cars aren't that good! I understand that some people (maybe even the majority) have great cars that don't have any problems, but it is very frustrating to those that do have frustrations. I say tell it how it is, that's the whole point in these forums. If you don't like the whinging, don't read it!
