  1. Hi, I own a BA MKII Turbo (hence a 4 speed auto). So ok to get Pwr tranny cooler and bypass the current setup or put in series?
  2. Got myself a few sets of NGK's BKR6EIX (obviously pre-gapped at .8mm). Anyone want a set of 6 of these for $75? PM me! This price does not include freight. Thanks for your input guys.
  3. Hey, what type of tranny cooler should one look at purchasing? Also, should this cooler run in series with the current cooler or bypass the current set up? Thanks.
  4. "Last time I had brad from atomic put anchorlox on it and the studs still came out" So Ancholox failed for you? Wow... What did Atomic had to say to that? I though these were guaranteed not to come out! I'm thinking of replacing my bolts from the manifold to head with Ancholox. Hmmm do you think it is worth it?
  5. Anyone here installed Atomic's set (manifold to head)? If so, how are they installed especially keeping the "stud / nuts" holding the heat shields. Pics would be good!
  6. When would one need to reset the cam phasers?
  7. NB: Part number DY1116 has been superceded by Part number DY1164 Also, Maybe try this: ???? "Disconnect battery .. Earth -, leave it for say 10 Min. Reconnect Battery. Turn on Ignition but do not start. Push down Acc to the floor and count to 15. Take your foot off the pedal turn ignition off... start engine and see how you go. The above will reset the Acc system." See Link:
  8. Guys, If any of these bolts are lose, would this cause the car to ping?
  9. According to the post in the link below, Nordlock does not work. Now I'm thinking Atomic. Has anyone used these? If so, how are they? How many km's have you done with them? Can somone please provide pictures and Torque requirments for the following bolts (I need to know what I'm looking at!): * Manifold to Turbo bolts * Turbo to Dump bolts * Manifold to Head bolts (I know these are the 12 bolts but require torque settings please) Anyone know the part number required to fit Atomic's? Thanks
  10. Edit: The "pulley arm" I am talking about I think is actually called Belt Tensioner. I think Dayco makes it???? Anyway, does anyone have the part number by any chance??? Thanks.
  11. Would anyone know the part number of the idle pully? Is this part known as the "pully arm"? If different would anyone know the part number of this also?
  12. So you guys reckon NKG's are the way to go (other than Fords/Motorcraft/Denso BF plugs)? How long do the NKG's last?
  13. Guys, I have a BA MKII 4sp Auto. Looking into getting some spark plugs. I'm thinking of purchasing NGK BKR6EIX but a friend of mine mentioned to best get spark plugs from Ford for a BF Turbo as they are pre-gapped to .9mm and a small adjustment is required to .8mm. Also the Ford plugs are best suited to the coils??? Is this true? I believe the spark plug part number for the BF's is AGSP22YE09. These are Denso plugs yes? If so, what are the Denso part number? Do they come pre-gapped to .8mm? Is this correct? Are these iridium type plugs and how long (kms) do they last? What do you guys reckon NGK's or Ford? Thanks
  14. Guys, There's an old TSB on this seat creaking issue. Check this out: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63009&st=0&p=947436&hl=tsb+seat&fromsearch=1 Hope this resolves your issue! Good luck
  15. Is it coming from the driver's side? Has your car had a custom tune? Possibly the Boost Solenoid????
  16. Thanks for that... hmm how much are they? Also, does this battery directly replace the factory one? I mean remove old battery and install new battery into the "plastic black cover/holder"???
  17. I too think need a new battery. I changed it about 2 years or so ago. I can't believe they last around 2 years. The battery in my last car (EF Falcon) lasted 4 years. I have a BA MKII 4sp Auto Turbo. What's the best battery to go for? Make model amps etc... more info the better and oh price! Thanks...
  18. You're right... thanks but I can't get the cable off the handle - need more slack. What do you suggest?
  19. Ok I finally got myself a full leather handbrake. I believe the handbrake lever is held on by 3 bolts. I think I need to remove the front seat to get to the handbrake lever bolts. Can someone please provide a step by step instructions to remove the front seat - pics will also be good!? Also, any info on removing the handbrake lever would also be good too! Thanks.
  20. Guys, I have a BA MKII 4sp Auto I hear people that when they strengthen the box, one of the parts they change is the valve body? If a "mild" valve body is used does that ALWAYS make the shifting more firmer than stock? Hence, can one install a "mild" valve body without making a firmer shift between gears? Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe the valve body increases line pressures and hence it will most certainly produce firmer shifts???? Thanks...
  21. The TPS for a BA MKII Turbo Auto is it a part made by Bosch? If so, does anyone know the Bosch P/N? thanks...
  22. Hmmm I think in my next oil change I'll be removing the turbo oil screen/filter. While I'm at it, I'll replace the turbo oil supply tube/pipe as a precaution. The people you have done this, is it a good idea to do this? And what motor oil filters are you using? Is is the ford genuine filter for a BA MKII any good? I've read elsewhere that these are crap just like the Ryco equivalent. People are using P/N: D9AZ6731A What do you guys think?
  23. Guys, I have a BA MKII Turbo with factory 17" rims. Car is stock with a tune about 240kw at the rear wheels. I going to get myself DBA4000 front slotted rotors with QFM LTM003 pads. I hear Michellin's PS3's are a very good tyre (about $255 per side). I'm thinking of going with 18" rims but these tyres cost about $445 per side - which I'm not willing to pay. Hence, am I better off sticking with the 17" rims with PS3's OR should I get myself 18" rims but with say Maxxis MZ1 tyres? Which setup is best for grip? What do you guys suggest?
  24. Hi, Are the stock injectors in a BA MKII Turbo made from Bosch? If so, what is the Bosch Part Number?
  25. Hi Team, I'm also looking into a liquid LPG setup for my BA MKII Turbo 4sp Auto. But have a few questions: 1. Is it true that on some hot days one cannot fill up LPG? I hear people pouting cold water over the tank in order to fill er up. 2. The only mods my car has is an external auto cooler, typhoon air intake, Nizpro Valve springs and a Tune to suit. Everything else is stock. Now if I install a Liquid LPG system with the current petrol tune loaded, can I then easily load my Factory tune with NO Problems? Well for that matter can I load anyone of the 4 tunes (Factory + P1,P2 and P3 tunes) Thanks...
