  1. I say arrogant f*ck coz if a man who looked dressed for a work and a kid of about 12 were looking at me in a panick telling me to stop...I would and wonder whats wrong...most normal people would.
  2. I dont think it was actually on purpose it was running between cars as the traffic stop started. Dont think he knew it was there or really paying attention. He had just stopped as it ran under the front bar sorta area and stopped basically infront of the tyre. Looked at the 2 ppl putting their hands up gesturing to stop/stay in a panick, they were standing at the kerb. He looked at them, gave zero f*cks and just moved off with the traffic. Bye bye kitty...
  3. There is a 10mm pistol and ammo in the vault lol?
  4. Settlements are quite addictive. Wait to you have some raider attacks, funnily enough they dont seem to occur until you have some decent defense up. Its fun watching your defence and settlers in action. Then loot everything and gear up your settlers.
  5. that's sick, another good explanation as well. Makes me want to sell the zf and go manual. Missus may no be so happy. So with the way its setup in that vid is it just business as usual if your not WOT shifting? Can you somehow bring accelrator pedal position into play so it does pull spark when your driving like miss daisy?
  6. As cool as it would be a dog(im sick of that word..) style box would get old pretty fast in a daily. So this concept is probably as close as you will get. Will also be cool to see how quick it is vs a similar setup with an auto. Not that there are many setups like yours to compare.
  7. Yeah were on the same page now, I was hung up on one thing which was stopping me from understanding. The shaft in a dog pretty much is spun up instantaneously but virtue of just be grabbed. Like I said brutal and its amazing they survive given the power levels they are exposed to normally. Must be made of some serious sh*te. Also I never clutchless shifted my VX, its only in the last couple of years since my knee has been farked that ive learnt to do it as some days I do alot of k's in traffic and it really starts to hurt. I can also tell you both the ranger and the triton I have driven that way both took atleast a full second for things to line up and slot in no matter how hard you force it. Obviously the tremacs are alot better. See arent guys heaps better and dealing with sh*t fluff, he says I dont understand I say hes a pelican and its all good. Im happy to be called a peanut on the way to learning something. Good thread errybody, most technical discussion we've had in a while I think.
  8. It makes sense, I thought the end result would be a dog style engagement but its not and I was hung up on how that's possible with syncros. The reality is the shaft speeds still need to be matched which I felt you were saying they dont but maybe you werent? It seems that the t56 and perhaps other boxes can do this very quickly. Quicker than the triton anywho lol.. Cheers for the explanation mate, toads vid actually helped alot as well. Made the end result alot clearer, I was thinking something like the way the PPG T56 shifts and thinking how is that possible with some clever software and a shifter...
  9. Bloody hell, we have well and truly established how the load is taken off the box keif... In a dog arrangment the revs come down as the dogs engage and the revs just get pulled down pretty much. Its a brutal process. In a syncromesh box a cone shaped clutch arangment allows the shafts to spin up to the same speed which is somewhat aided by pushing the clutch in and the revs naturally fall. It just simply takes fkn longer than 2 dog rings smashing into each other and engaging when they line up which happens very quickly. So how the fark is this overcome with sycros. that's all I want to know lol. I belive its possible. I will always take the word of others in the know but doesnt mean I wont question how/why in the quest to understand... Toads do you know? Seems like there is still a tiny delay in your vid, not a brutal engagement like dogs. Is the t56 just able to match the shaft speeds very quickly?
  10. Yeah I know, it would be the quietest straight cut box ever if it was lol. Just trying to get keif to explain to us exactly how its possible rather than random facts that may be true but seem irrelevant...Cmon keify that's more than enough time to google some sh*t [emoji6]
  11. Wow ok.....well pelican since your such an expert on the subject perhaps you could explain how the rings in a dog box work which you have completley failed to mention. Also a H pattern box can run dogs so really has nothing to do with the shifter setup/arrangement. 6spd h pattern holinger the v8sc used to run is a good example. Could you also explain what is special about the t56 that in stock form allows it to be shifted pretty much instantaneously like a dog which is what im trying to UNDERSTAND not debate. We are talking about making a completley stock t56 do this with the only additions being the shifter and haltech. K go.
  12. Are t56's straight cut?
  13. I got no idea what your getting at keif lol....Albins also make non transaxle boxes. I know how a purpose built sequential box works. None of what you have said explains how the sycromesh is overcome to allow it to slot straight into the next gear. Put it this way if it was so simple to convert a sycro box, why are sequential boxes engineered differently, longevity? Strength? Syncros just arent ideal for the application? Sorry if this is getting long in the tooth jet lol. Its just interesting..infact probably the most interesting topic I have seen on here in a while lol..
  14. Yeah......a Albins trans built for the purpose of racing is quite different to a oem t56...im well aware of how a sequential box works lol...and you have basically just reiterated what I said about it not wanting to come out of gear under load.. Its a very interesting topic im keen to know more about, sequential t56/tr6060 sounds much more fun than a ZF.Also taking the load off is fine but the revs arent gonna match in a split second from say 6krpm to 4k where it needs to be for the next gear for example which is the part I dont get and am interested to know how its overcome.
  15. Like I said not apples for apples and far from my area either just my experience with clutchless shifting syncro boxes. However it would explain why a sequential shifter is even avalible for the t56 and if the switch is so close enough to be made before it actually shifts I could see how it might work. Dont syncros need to spin up a bit though? Very interested to see how this goes.
  16. Just the other day I saw this man and what looked to be his son running around trying to save a kitten on the road in heavy traffic. They were putting their hands up telling this indian peanut to STOP. I saw the arrogant *beep* make eye contact with them, keep driving and ran the f*cking kitten over. Traffic was crawling, 10kmh max, could have EASILY stopped. I was completely overwhelmed with sadness for the pair trying to save it, and RAAAAGE towards the Indian *beep* face. I was in traffic as well travelling the other way so had a prime view of the whole thing. Just wanted to punch that *beep* so bad. Why is it they just look straight at people and do something f*cking retarded. They do it to me all the time cutting me off and sh*t. f*ck Made me so angry I couldnt even he bothered mispelling all that swearing...
  17. Not a chance the revs will need need to drop for it to go into the next gear without a clutch. Not apples for apples but I drive my work ute all the time without a clutch coz my farked knee gets sore after a while. I also just tried all of this whilst on my way to work. Wont come out of gear under load, was trying to pull it out of 3rd with everything I had, at about 50% throttle it would but still difficult. Revs need to fall to pop into the next gear, the larger your rev range and more spread across the gears the longer that will take, it cant be forced either, you can put all the pressure on it you want it will pop in when its ready. Throttle blip required on a downshift, much more tricky than upshifting, will grind bad if you dont get the throttle blip right. In my experience most syncro boxes behave the same. What I do think though is with some practice, the right clutch like a button and some torque reduction setup so you can hold it WOT it will be alot quicker than the H pattern setup.

    Fg-X Sprint

According to some inside members on AFF, they already exist(sprints). Dealers are also taking refundable deposits which could mean nothing. Also no more manuals can be ordered in any variant which is the opposite of what everybody expected. Rumor mill suggests either to many ZF's avalible coz they bought up when they became EOL or the last tr6060's(tight karnts wont buy more) they have in stock are allocated to sprint's. Either scenario seems plausible but id say the former is more likley. Surley a new supply of tr6060's are only a phone call away?
  19. Two scenarios, wasters with plenty of money that cry poor, those who think they are too good to do certain things. In both situations the karnts are in denial. Bout to loose your house but too good to take a 60k job????? But out on the town tearing up what you have left.....seems legit...
  20. ^^ lol steve I figured as much Tocchi and didn't feel it was directed at me or anybody here for that matter, just curious as I know how those convos.....HAD a mate that does all of the above plus gambling as well. Cries poor, needs a car to "get to work to earn money" I reluctantly give him my beloved 5l au mont wagon, which was mint and let him pay me back. Well never saw all the money, car is farked, billion toll fines in my name and he's still a hopeless *beep* and lost his job again. Yet somehow I feel like the idiot, f*ck people.....
  21. Interested to know what provoked this comment lol....somebody that does all of the above make a comment to you like "wish I had that much to spend on cars" or something to that effect...
  22. Good tips marco, I havent played enough to offer any real tips yet, only level 12 atm. We do indeed have similar strategies and im gearing towards rifles as well. Automatic you just run out of ammo way to fast and pistols are meh but some can be effective at close range. Shotgun does alot of damage but takes way to long to reload given you have to use it at close range so I think its more suited to a melee build. Mysterious stranger perk really is great, taking it may seem like a gamble with your points but trust me, he has the very cool habit of showing up at the right time. One thing that sh*ts me at this point is the way power is distrubuted through structures. Some of the wiring ive had to do to get all the lights to come on is beyond silly, and overall the settlement mechanics are a bit sketchy imo, structures are difficult to build in first person view and sometimes placing things can be a near impossible task. For example, built a house, went to move an internal wall, changed my mind and just could not put it back the way it was, wouldnt let me. Well that's were I got that fn peice of wall from so wtf. Needs a patch asap and an ariel/stratagey game veiw for building sh*t, well the option to flick between 1st, 3rd and ariel veiws when in workshop mode.
  23. I know, somebody mentioned fallout4 and off I went. Keen for a fallout 4 thread, surley other on here are getting into it.
  24. Lol yeah ive played all the other fallout games, most bethesda titles infact. I worked out pretty fast to scrap things rather than store them at the workshop. There is a perk avalible so you get things like screws, springs ect when scrapping guns ect but I tend to deck out my settlers with weapons and armor I find rather than scrapping it. Im playing it on hard and so far the only time I have needed the suit was to defeat the waves at Cambridge police station. Pretty much just parked the suit. I get the fusion core mechanic though coz if you could just use it 24/7 it would just be 2 easy. Its like an almost god mode. I too have probably spent more time on settlements than missions lol. Built a mad 3 story building at the starlight drive in. that's my main settlement really but I cant build a weapons workbench and stuff there yet which is annoying me. Also the rifle perk + the righteous laser rifle that the palidan gives you is fairly OP imo. 40% more damage is a nice perk. .308 rifle becomes deadly as well. Suits me I prefer accuracy and using vats over pray and spray automatic weapons anyway. Mysterious stranger perk has saved my bacon more than once as well. Was getting my but kicked by a sentry and near death the mysterious stranger shows up(when using vats) and just one shots the sentry with a revolver lol....I want that revolver
  25. Exactly, u said it just felt like gate pressure atm...so if its no different bypassed, and was commanding correctly....
