  1. The table is intended to be used as a guide and it makes an interesting reference for people who are running their cars down the quarter. You can see that there is a bit of a variation between cars running the 300 rwkw mark depending on transmissions. If you average out the figures and plot the average then we should end up with a clear indicator of what sort of MPH you can expect for a given RWKW. If we get enough figures from more cars then we can separate it into separate graphs one for each type of transmission. Interesting stuff !
  2. Here are the results so far ...
  3. Good stuff guys ... I will try and summarise all the rsults in a table tonight. C'mon guys any more?
  4. I think I can better that one ... I even found the timeslip. 305 rwkw, the timeslip says 105 mph (error) but I crawled over the line and just go out at the gate which is about 20 metres from the finish line ... ET = 35.1 seconds !! ... Broken CVs
  5. So what can I get as a trade in on a white XR6T, one owner, log books, 86000Ks, original factory condition, never been raced on a FG XR6T?
  6. One for the Sydney boys ... "She's got a Gosford skirt on, it's just below the entrance" Getting nowhere at work ... "I've been running around like a headless chook!" "There a bees dick difference in that ..."
  7. WOW !! ... well done guys. Take it to weight watchers for a few weeks and the record is yours. My guess is that with a good hookup with a 1.4 60 footer you should see the car get into the 9.7 sec bracket!! I wonder what it would do with 100 less kilos? What fuel are you guys running? Is it on the bottle?
  8. I agree 100%, I was running 340 rwkw and ran 119 MPH and mid 11 second passes on a decent set of MT ET Streets.
  9. Wow ... what a good response. I did not thi9nk that we were going to get this far. I only started the thread this morning and just got back home and was expecting this thread to have been closed by now. See how it goes over the next few days. I will collect all of the data and summarise it and post in a few days. Should produce an interesting reference guide for the guys heading to the track. ET is not so easy to compare as tyres, track conditions, suspension and other factors have a much bigger effect on the results. I completely agree with SS346's comment ... "on a serious note, a dyno is good for pre and post comparison, the blacktop is a true testament to power output." ... Dyno figures might vary from shop to shop and dyno to dyno ut when you compare similar cars with similar weights then the MPH down the quarter is a better measure of a cars power and potential. I notice that we have plenty of 4 speed auto boys running the quarter, I guess the 6 speed auto and manual boys are a bit shy?
  10. Hi Guys, I thought that this would make an interesting discussion. If MPH is a reasonable indicator of power then it will be interesting to see some of the results. We can then start building a bit of a table to use as a reference. We should also list transmission type. If possible lets try and keep it real and stay away from the Roller vs Hub dyno arguement again! Here is a start: My car runs consistently up around the 124 mph mark while running 375rwkw. Best MPH was achieved recently during the last outing 125.99 MPH on 385rwkw but a slower ET... 4 speed Automatic
  11. Better wind it up a bit harder jeffro if you think you are going to hit over the 600 rwkw mark on a hub dyno. This should be good to see. Someone better take some video of this (just stand back a bit!).
  12. Well done. The MPH is strong too. As David said, the 10 sec pass is just a matter of getting that launch and 1/2 track run sorted. My 10.8 sec pass was achieved with a 1.53 60 footer & 6.94 half track time!! I wish I had your 128 MPH. Good fresh rubber and a well prepped track will make a big difference.
  13. 11.9 @ 122 mph on the factory 17" Dunlop 3000s ... It was a fun ride!

Nicely said. At the end of the day... all this so called turmoil in the world is all the more reason the make the most of every day.
  15. I love the sleeper look ... Well done guys. I look forward to seeing you guys break the record!! What size tyre/rim do you have on the rear? I'm trying to get my taxi to 60 foot again....
  16. Just wondering if the BA F6 Typhoon came with a 4 speed auto? If so can someone give me the ECU code on the unit? I am wondering if I can flash that tune in my BA XR6T ECU. Anyone tried it?
  17. Well done guys, sounds great on the dyno. Nice and clean run too! ... go the sleeper look!!
  18. WOW ... it would be great to see that video !!

Open the side cover and setup a small fan to blow air onto the motherboard. Then see if it locks up. I reckon its heat related!!
  20. So Pat, when are the XR6Ts and the F6 cars going to be available in the showroom?
  21. It could still be the problem ...
  22. What about the PWR & AVO coolers? Perhaps these guys should be invited too?
  23. Sounds like valve springs ... how much power are you making?
  24. I like that idea ...
