I just got a$$ raped 600 quid for a 45k service. that's says it all Also had a coolant flush done and they didn't even fill up the resovior tank and not to mention the the line coming of the blow off valve for boost guage that says it all really. Worst thing I can't do a bloody thing about it never going to ford again, not even for warranty work my 2 cents

yes stay away from ATI. There crap personally. I have an X800 but my nvidia fx5200 was faster in the system I have currentlyso I'm gonna flog it off to my little brother and go back to nvidia. Also a lot less drivers issues with nvidia I think as well. Nvidia just have better drivers me thinks Motherboards, ASUS has always been good to me Anyways, AMD + Nvidia is a good combo

Was thinking just out of curiosity. out of factory standard for 18z is 245/40/r18. Is that the maz size that can fit or can you bigger. Will a 45 series go on this rim??
-
surely the iDesign 18z are 245/40/R18
-
that's how they came when I bought them from bob jane DOH!!
-
I've checked the ford site and the BF idesign 18z are 245/40/r18 damnit. Is it possible to fit smaller tyres to these rims like mine, 235/40s anyone here a tyre/mag expert. I bought these at bob jane on kessels road as someone traded up to bigger rims so these were there and I'm positive their not copies. they've even got the blasted centre caps. Anyways if someone can confirm my theory of smaller tread on 18z cheers

Definitely not getting on a plane anytime soon. Some bad sh*t is gonna go down. that's for sure.

I think from down low coming on boost is better so I'm a happy camper.

all done thanks for the tips. All helped me get the job done. problem was the clamp was so tight that the hose was sort of stuck to the plastic. Weird I know but got it off with a bit of twisting. Just didn't want to break anything cheers all
-
damnit, I'm so close. The damn hose just won't come off. Also the clamp on the hose is crimped on both sides so getting it off is might be a pain in the a!@ Any tips there. I"ll give it another couple of tugs . After that I dunno Damn I'm so close :banghead: update I've figgured out the clip, but that damn hose is on there tight update to the update mission accomplised, just gotta put the sucker back together then out for a little od driving ms daisy at least second time will be easier thanks for the help lads

I've got the BF 18z on at the moment and they are 235/40. Thing is my ba 17z definitely had more rear end grip. Dunno, Maybe I'll just put the speedy on and sell the bf 18/ and be done with the bloody thing
-
mr squiggle indeed I have that very same problem you describe IH8TOADS that's why I wann do this little mod. I"m gonna try it again damnit after dinner. Hopefully the blasted thing will come off without me wrecking it in the process

Ok guys got everything done except for getting that baslted little hose off The clamp had a bit of rust on it so I didn't wanna pull it off otherwise I thought I'd break the hose or something. Put everything back together. I then thought wouldn't it be easier to put a t peice further on on the hose that connects to the boost solenoid and install the t peice of some sort then access would be easier. Just an idea. Perhaps someone more mechincally minded could say if this is a viable solution I have attached a picture with my idea EDIT: blue t squiggle is the proposed t peice and red circle is where I thought I could be located. Of course there would be some sort of thing to block the 3rd hole on the t peice feedback???

Hey guys. Wouldlove to hear from anyone who has/had 245/45/r18 on the front of their ute/sedans I've got these speedy envi rims. I like them but I'm thinking now I bought them too wide and worried when I lower it that it will rub the front guard. If that's the case then I will try to get rid of them. don't ask me why I bought them this size. I only realised after I done sum research on tyre sizes(very green back then ) that I rea;ised what I had bought. I should have got the 245/40 cheers

cheers lads

Just for those who are mechanically challanged, for the battery when disconnecting which terminal do I take of first and which do I put on first when reconnecting cheers
-
hey guys. I"ve got the nexus boost/vac and oil pressure. I"m thinking about getting the AFR wideband guage they have in the nexus series. Is the wideband sensor that much more accurate or just more bling value in the cabin :D cheers

BA_XR6Turbo_Ute replied to PASHEN's topic in Members Cars and Modifications
All I can say is brians car is a beast. Any vids of brians car in action. I think I found one on youtbe but I want more now. That induction noise is incredible. Sounds like a bloody Jet . Keep up the top work, and can someone point me in the direction of vids of this beast if there anymore out there cheers -

Hey guys. My rear end just started sqeaking 2 days ago. I thought it would go away but even wheni sit down in the ute just siting in the garage it sqeaks:angry: ido put some of down to dirt and mud as the site I work on was pretty bad during the rain last couple of days here in brissy. But I've been in worse and it was fine back then. I find it strange that it only appears now after 38000k's on the it and not like 245T's ute The cold weather thing didn't happen to me. Even during the winter she was working great and quietly too. Must be a random ford thing I guess. I"m taking her to my dealer to see what they can do for me. Some of the tihngs mentioned here are a good starting point. Some great info keep the info coming. I'm sure someone know a definite fix or another suggestion hopefully will be sorted by end of the week. Sqeak is driving me insane

Are you sure with the fronts? I need to be sure before I think about soing something thanks for the quicl reply though cheers
-
would like to hear from anyone who has 245/45/r18 on the front of their rides and have super low springs as well. Would like to know did you need to roll the guards? A lot or a little? How is the tyre noise?? I ask as I have a set of speedy eni hyper silver 18" 245/45/r18 they fill the rears nicely but the fronts are a question mark for me cheers

with the heatshield rattle. I took my ute in and they fixed it. Sometimes it as simple as a few stones rattling around in there. More likely to happen to me since I drive into crap job sites. With regard to dealerships, mine has been pretty good so far, touch wood, so I hope it contunes till my warranty runs out the edit and interlooler time
