  1. It will support that power no worries.
  2. Well done, what sort of power did you end up to do that
  3. One other thing ETM, were you running with or without your hard top
  4. Nice 60ft, what suspension setup are you running and what sort of boost were you leaving the line at
  5. This is exactly why and with the falcon already producing so much torque low in the revs it's a recipe for disaster but that is up to you, I have played around with NOS for years on naturally aspirated cars and I would not turn you back on that idea. You also have to remember that a 50hp shot on a turbo car can make as much as 125hp due to the NOS working as an intercooler effect due to it's extreme low tempreture
  6. Unless you have a built motor I would stay away, they give you a huge boost of torque when it comes on and the rods are weak for a start in these things. I will let you know soon how it goes im going to be running a 50hp and then 125hp shot. it's all setup ready to go just need to put it on the dyno.
  7. MY C9 FROM KEWISH IS GARANTEED TO WITHSTAND 500RWKW. SO HOPEFULLY IT SHOULD BE A GOOD THING. NOT TOO BAD TO DRIVE OTHER THATN SITTING ON 3000RPM AT 100KM/H. OH WELL THAT S WHAT YOU SACRIFICE
  8. If you have an APS external pump and bracket, the best place is to mount in on the LHF rail where the swaybar bolts to the body and you will need to run wiring from the rhf fuse box in engine bay and you wont need a pressure regulator
  9. Did you dyno it before and after c4 I would be interested to see whether you lose or gain power with it compared to a btr4. or your thoughts
  10. not costing much I got the trans off a mate and doing it all the rest myself. generally though with a billet input shaft and full build (strong), you wont get any change from $7-9000 for the whole conversion
  11. well done dave, im putting a c9 in mine as we speak and it looks like I have made the right choice. did you run 26 inch high slicks?
  12. MYWPN replied to RSWEPN's topic in Engine Workshop
Can tell you from experience to stick with the factory gasket. I tried an aftermarket one and it was leaking coolant out the side I am in the process now of putting the factory unit back on.
  13. RDP are normally true their word when it comes to power figures, it it very possible this car has that much power
  14. HOW MUCH BOOST ARE YOU LEAVING THE LINE WITH?
  15. ive had convo pro, weld and custome steel front runners and have had no problem with fowling of the brakes, mine are standard issue brakes.
  16. yeah they do, they are the most popular. cragar rims also
  17. I have slicks on my ute and can tell you it's not just a little bit of grinding, you also need to grind the top of the brake pad so that gives you an indication how far you have to go, I am using widened 15 inch rims, you can get 15 inch alloys to fit with no mods but you need to find the right style because not all do, we have tried alloys that do fit so im not saying maybe they do fit you just need the right style hope that hepls, if I get time I can take a photo of my caliper to show you what I have done.
  18. iv'e just done a full built engine running stock turbo but im using the gas to get all my extra power, I still have to drive this to work everyday. looking for 500rwkw+ so ill see how far I can power slide the strip because I cant see much hope with traction untill I sort out the suspension so you coming to the next BV weekend?
  19. Nice one Phil, I have some catching up to do dont I. wind some more power in and watch out all well done
  20. I know dave that had his car built through hpf ran 10.5's on mt street radials 275's
  21. my brother has a manual and I have dragged many manuals in my time and flat changing it with the throttle flat it still loses boost! we have dragged the manual versus auto and I can get a car jump in an auto every gear change of any xr6 turbo manual I have raced.
  22. spot on
  23. With these cars it has nothing to do with BOV it's the electronic throttle side of things that are lacking between changes it's hard to believe until you drive a manual. if you could run a throttle cable instead of fly by wire that would eliminate most of the issues. no matter how you change whether you flat change without taking your foot off the computer still closes the butterfly and being an electric motor they are not fast to go back to full throttle, they lag heaps through gear change which is dramatically letting there times down
  24. I have a dyno wog tune. wait to the near future I can assure you that mph will sky rocket
  25. U should be able to do mid to high 11 with 330rwkw and at 120mph if you use some sort of slick
