  2. Coming out of an EF, could not buy an AU, and that was how I got to the BA t - as soon as the fancy interior was released, the Gen 3 was GORN>>>>> I'll go dig through some specs on he BF and see whether there's any more info on the wipers....
  3. OK.... wooo up. "Road speed sensitive" my BF2 is certainly not - certainly not like the VX2 Calais I had before the BA Mk1 T was. (sheesh - I never thought I'd own up to owning that thing on this forum) This feature was great - when in intermittent mode, it would slow the wipe speed right down when stopped at the lights, then increase it back to your selected "intermittent" speed over about 20 kmph. It was definitely the best thing about that entire car. The BF may have something similar - but it's not as sensitive as the Calais' was. Pat - has this spec been added to the new FG anywhere?
  4. Good news Exah - great to see some thought going into "getting customers through the gate and interested in the sport". Much talk at the TinTops meet about this recently.... crowd numbers are NOT growing - and drag racing needs to find new hotbuttons apart from Top Alcohol, Top Fuelers and Top Doorslammers to get back in touch. Hope they bring some of the show to W'Bank! Keep us informed.
  5. Oh - go on I.B. - you drive it like a truck sometimes
  6. Tab - must have missed that in the spec..... if that's the case it's fantastic - auto adjust to roadspeed is brilliant. In heavy rain just flick the switch to "fast" as you'd normally do.
  7. "I was under the impression that the 452's didn't come in a 17 fitment.... where did you get them from, and what sort of power are you pushing atm, cause I know of the 452's and they've got a good wrap from ppl, but they don't last long from what I've heard???? any info would be awesome. Cheers" Howsee - 235 45 17's freely available at most of the bigger mobs (though I got a better deal at Tyre and Wheel at Brendale than any of the biggies). Am running @300RW - these seem to hook up ok with a bit of pedal work (compared to what was on it previous). Run them at @ 38lb..... less psi affects turn in. Grope - interesting they didn't suit the Nissan. What did actually suit the R? Have a mate running the FK 452s on his wife's Merc.... and he rates them above the standard kit Michies.
  8. Good Samaritan act?????? RATFPML. Tab !!! (wait for it).... it would have been normal if you had re fuse d.
  9. Best best BEST feature I've ever had in a vehicles wiper system is the speed sensitive type..... That is a sensible and useable feature.
  10. Plain xr6 - it'd be a demo from the local dealer for sure..... That colour should sell well in Cairns.
  11. Chic - sad news. Lost our moggy a couple of years ago and she's still talked about. Have a Cocker Spaniel cross Fox Terrier / Chihuahua now - and he's taken his place in the family; couldn't be without him. Hope you get a replacement pal that makes the loss a little easier.

  13. Ended up recently going Falken FK452's in the 17" ( yeah - I like a bit of tyre....) 235/45. After 5000k's - very , very impressive in the wet, dry is good, braking excellent, and noise way down on standard Dunnies. In fact - these have shown just how dreadful the standard provision rubber actually is. It's WOEful. At @$230 a corner and 300 hardness rating, you can get a dam fine deal out of these. Was trying to source Marangoni's - gave up.
  14. Nope - not in Qld.... Hey Pat - what impact will the Budget's dam f%#@&* luxury car tax have on the G6ET's $$$. Any idea? "For the first time in more than 10 years, taxes will rise for prestige cars from 25 per cent to 33 per cent. The cars affected will be those that cost more than $57,000."
  15. Willowbank. Camp at the end of the mains straight - handy to both tracks, and handy to work. If he wants to go rural and doesn't mind a little drive - try Pine Mountain.
  16. Getting closer to home, Mack - and the relaxation had already set in; then comes the crazy client on the phone. Bad luck mate - know Stuartholme Road well - the locals pay the coppers to revenue raise along there. One of our guys got a free photograph at the Story Bridge camera stand last week. He drives that route 20 times a week - and this particular day... you guessed it..... a customer complaining about a non existant issue. Mind off the ball for about a minute - but that was long enough. Interesting lesson this.......
  17. Pat - that cat on the XT loks a bit like the original BF2 cat on the T; have they done a bulk deal??? Good work on the photo's mate - well done.
  18. Ten minutes to come to that conclusion, Dags? Took me close on half an hour. Ah, fascinating stuff..... walk this way, turn that way, wear this, now take that off, now put this on.... Just like home, really.....
  19. Gee. That's really strange. Mine does 300's all day long on a "cheap schitte Monza cooler". Helps to have a nice dump and cat tied into the deal as well - but.......... "Never let the truth get in the way of another sale." Pick your tuner. Select your budget figure. Discuss your options.
  20. What a bottler of a day.... thanks to you Tabular. Yet again the Qld team set the pace.... Great to see everyone again; highlights of the day being the Security guard at Dreamworld in panic mode, the look on the dairy farmers face after 22 cars go past just under the speed limit, and the 75 year old guy trying to keep with us in the G220 Fairlane - which kept bouncing off the limiter in the curvy bits. He dead set should be given an honorary membership - could see the smile on his face like a cracked watermelon...... along with him reaching for his bottle of heart pills as we pulled into Mur'bah. AND - I'm so glad we ALL aimed to have a good clean time without upsetting any of the locals - wherever they were! I don't care HOW good anyone's driving skill is - but being bent out of shape at 98kmph with oncoming traffic is nuts. If anyone EVER wanted to do that stuff..... well - I'm certain they'd be aware that Qld raceway is only just up the road. Here's some piks:
  21. It's nearly tomorrow. Chic - about those scones: try crunchy peanut butter. See you soon all......
