03/05/08 04:38 AM03/05/08 04:38 AM #1 Double bugger.......Brisbanites may know this one.Coming home from work on Friday through Bardon on Stuartholme drive. Its a 50k limit & I use it most days so I know to be riding my brakes on the downhill section because it's a favorite haunt for Police Radar. So anyway.... I've got some idiot client on the hands free & me freaking brain is somewhere else till the kindly blue clad officer stands out in the road with his laser & directs me to the end of a goodly line of $$$$$ for the gumment coffers. Yeah......It was a top way to start the long week-end.63 in a 50 so there goes another $150 & here comes 3 big points. What really sent me into a deep depressive mood was that I had driven about 400K that day, through all kinds of city & rural areas (Including school zones) not once exceeding the limit by more than a couple of K's. I really do consider myself a bloody careful driver these days & the thought that I can't blame anyone else.........Specially when I had to tell the SWMBO that I'd just frittered away her Mothers Day gift...........Talk about Dark & Stormy..........Geez I hate that...............

03/05/08 05:54 AM03/05/08 05:54 AM #3 I think we'd all agree that Mobile phones definitely take our minds of the duty at hand.Personally, I'd love for them to be totally banned in cars so I could switch mine off and have a reason not to answer "work" calls.

03/05/08 01:44 PM03/05/08 01:44 PM #7 To the contary, this thread shows a complete disrepect for internet etiiquette, where flying off the handle and jumping up and down to be heard is the norm. As for you Mack, where is your imagination, surely a gent with your life experience can come up with something to blame. I feel like I am on an accounting forum, not a car forum.Scotty
