  2. Scott at SureShift Automatics (Geebung) is doing ZF servicing and metal pan / replaceable filter replacements. Don't think he's rebuilding them at this stage though.
  3. So - different panel to the BA - BF series?? Dam - another thing I can't interchange....
  4. Sheesh! The only reason I'm JOINING is the dress rules!!!! What's going on?!?! Am I going to be lumbered with wardrobe changes every time a new member joins????
  5. That sorta schitte can end up in big trouble - if you'd have reported the rego number number and what he was doing, he'd be up on a charge by now. Impersonating Constable Plod is NOT a smart move....
  6. Very, very nice Shocko.... many days of happy motoring to the Bowls CLub ahead. Go you good thing...

    Team Grandpa?

Right on the safety pack.... has a "perimeter alarm" (whatever that is) and adjustable pedals with memory - in my case it was the first box ticked as my better half is vertically challenged. Have those in my current T, but the thought of simply hitting the memory button after she has been driving it has a certain appeal....
  8. Smackers - quick question... what sort of exhaust are you running?

    New G6et....

Mmmmm - nice work, and strong for a stocker, rapid. Looks the goods....
  10. KAAZ units should be in the $1,500 to $1,900 region fitted. Part number is DAG3830.... any specialist shop should be able to tee you up. Believe that Hart Transmissions at Brendale have already done a couple. Pic is here: http://www.precisiondrive.com.au/specialskaaz.html
  11. And while they're digging up the paperclip (boring is not the right word....), maybe they could install some lights on the strip so us drag racing fanatics can see what's going on after dark!!!
  12. Guys - this is buried in a couple of threads - thought it might be good to post under it's own heading: Exhaust pipe cross sectional area reference list…... a fast guide. (Calculated mathematically using Pi. Area = Pi x r^2 assuming Pi to three decimal places. Does not take into account actual inside pipe diameter – reference gauge for accuracy. Remember - with twin systems there will be a minimal double loss due to ID variation. Exhaust gas flows in weird and wonderful ways, and changes it’s flow characteristics with temperature drop and change in direction.) Single 3” system: R = 3/2 R^2 = 2.25 Area = 1 x (Pi x 2.25) = 7.069 square inches Twin 2.25” system: R = 2.25/2 R^2 = 1.266 Area = 2 x (Pi x 1.266) = 7.955 square inches Single 3.5” system: r = 3.5/2 r^2 = 3.0625 Area = 1 x (Pi x 3.0625) = 9.622 square inches Twin 2.5” system: r = 2.5/2 r^2 = 1.5625 Area = 2 x (Pi x 1.5625) = 9.818 square inches Single 4” system: R = 4/2 R^2 = 4 Area x 1 x (Pi x 4) = 12.568 square inches
  13. Those watching the Brisbane news tonite would have seen the worrying report on Willowbank losing out on the V8 Supercars round unless a heap of work is done to upgrade facilities for the paying public, and no doubt fix up the (now disgraceful) track condition. As per the report that follows, Tony Cochrane has announced that Perth and Willowbank on now "provisional dates only". 2010 V8 Supercar calendar announced Sunday 13/09/2009 09:45 Author: Allan Edwards | Source: BigPond Sport V8 Supercars Australia has announced its 2010 championship calendar at Phillip Island today (Sunday). It reveals that the championship will start early and will include a nine-week mid-season break, meaning the season will have a distinctive autumn and spring phase to it. Executive Chairman Tony Cochrane unveiled the calendar at the L&H 500 after last week announcing the season would start with a ground-breaking Middle East double-header in February at both Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. The earlier start has compacted the two-half season with 10 events up until mid-June, a nine-week break and six events to finish the season, culminating again with the massive Sydney Telstra 500 in December. “The earlier start gave us a great opportunity to tighten up the regularity in which we race, but also give our teams an all-important rest in the middle of the year,” Cochrane said. “It gives our TV viewers a much needed, more regular viewing pattern. “The Board and I are extremely happy with the outcome and ecstatic that we have expanded the calendar to 16 events including the non-Championship Australian Grand Prix. We look forward to some further announcements concerning the AGP in the future months. “It’s great news for the sport and for our teams and with more racing than ever – for our fans!” Cochrane said the news of starting in the Gulf region at Yas Marina Circuit on February 18-20 and the Desert 400 at the BIC on February 25-27 was an enormous result for the sport and its international footprint. “To add Abu Dhabi and the incredible Yas Marina Circuit is just tremendous. We can’t wait to get to one of the world’s most rapidly expanding regions and economies,” he said. “That they have been able to work alongside our great friends at BIC to establish this partnership has been wonderful. It’s a brilliant place, amazing circuit and sensational organisation.” Cochrane announced that a potential replacement for the BIC event, scheduled for November 5-7, would be announced in the coming week following some ongoing negotiations. “As we have received our sanction fee for this year’s Bahrain event, we are looking to use the replacement round as a charity fund raiser. “At this stage, until we can confirm our future requirements, both Perth and Queensland Raceway are provisional dates on the 2010 calendar.” In other calendar movements the Falken Tasmania Challenge has been moved to November from this year’s May date while the Norton 360 Challenge at Sandown has also been shifted to the more weather friendly date of November 19-21, slotting the BigPond Perth 300 to a more workable June date. It also enables a top-end loop for teams to curve around the country from Perth to Darwin, Darwin to Townsville in one movement, if they choose to take that option. 14. Wow . So when Tab, Scotty and I look south west toward Adelaide whilst sitting at the garden bar at the Brekky Creek, we'll be able to tell when you're turning a corner! That is going to be fairly much akin to a Christmas tree at night.... will be very interesting to see what it looks like. Might get rid of the rear badges on mine, probably won't touch the side ones due to the hole filling alternatives. Er... the rear ones are stick on aren't they?
  15. RAP1D.... for what it's worth, is there any chance you could post a photo of the STANDARD system for future reference purposes??
  16. Deano..... found the camera yet??? Love to have a glimpse of this insitu. Cheers....

    New G6et....

Great work rapid.... that looks superb. Very impressed with the SSL's; that ride height won't be a problem at all on the speed bumps at the Bowlo - so it is indeed a fine option to install. This will be taken into consideration in the coming months...... Nice kit.
  18. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah no. The Cashmere leather was just a little too much of a senility risk. Figured I'll be spending most of the time keeping the outside clean, and the thought of taking scuff marks of that stuff was a bit too much. Went the dark leather... And besides - I like the idea of the contrast between the dark leather and ALL THE CHROME!!! More later once she hits the deck.
  19. Yes - Thanks Gents one and all. I seriously felt a dose of class coming over me driving home today.... switched over to Classic FM to get myself ready for the arrival of the Classy Drive. Tab - probably end of Oct. Build number came through thisavo, so might get one of the chaps on here to keep an eye on it for me.... Now, I'm just off to get the Softly out to soak my cardy.... you can never be too clean on the creams you know.
  20. You know what it's like when you lose control??? Happened to me today. Signature's gone on the paper.... a Mystic G6ET with all the fruit is on the way. And a KAAZ LSD ordered as well - just so as I don't get stuck in the driveway. Injectors and some other goodies ordered in the next couple of weeks. I'm hearing that song.... "Here we go again....". Pic's when it's here and detailed.... PS ordered the Leader Of The House a new Festiva in SQUEEZE as well - now there's a colour match in the garage.... sheesh. She's still bouncing around the house with a dose of happiness on board. TAB - Get your bowls ready, we're off to the Club.
  21. Interesting - thanks Benny; anyone else care to comment? Will be doing some measurements tomorrow; there's not a lot of room to move in that channel...
  22. 19YO old male with dinted pride...... nothing worse thank goodness. Dam big skippy though; 5.45pm and it came up out of a creek bed - he didn't even get to the stop pedal. Now........ back to the specs sheets....
  23. After looking at a couple of photo's - me thinks the answer is no.... appears that the turbo exhaust flange is spun about 20 deg anticlockwise on the FG. Knew this would be tooooo easy...LOL.
  24. As per the topic.... need quick advice on whether to rip the CES Racing dump off my BF2T and keep it for the G6ET.... anyone know it'll go close? Not worried about the rest of the system.....other things in mind. Thanks all....
