  2. Also had the A/C cut out on me sometimes with the Edit. Was told by someone to flash it with the AC off. It will be the Edit causing it by some means or other. Alan
  3. Nice, it seems that keeping the AFR's below 12.7 is the magic number... so between 12 - 12.5 is right on the money, nice one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK guys Help me with AF? Is this Air Flow? If not, what is AF DaKing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not Air Flow, but Air/Fuel ratio. Need to be not too lean at big power/WOT. 14.7 is the aim at idle/cruze. Less than 12.5 seems the aim at big mumbo
  4. I made 45rwkw with just the Box, albiet it was custom 9 or so PSI tuned. Not a capa standard tune.
  5. Any thoughts of using the Foggies as CAI feed ??
  6. Looks the goods Rob Typhoon bar and all now, eh. Plenum and Cooler look hot
  7. Its a damn shame. Quality entertainers like these guys knew how to make you laugh, without resorting to the crap we see nowadays.
  8. Good Stuff Rob, let us know when shes back to Calder for a run. Looking forward to seeing it tear down the 1/4. Alan

    Opps

Glad to hear your OK man. Its pretty scary when they let go. The car can always be replaced, people cant. Hope you got out without injury. Been there, done that.... Alan
  10. Redline Limit
  11. You wont make any great strides in economy, (wont be any worse though, depending on right fooT) but it will for sure go better The Edit is the ducks guts, just be careful in the wet
  12. Dutchie, be extra careful in the wet with the loud pedal. They have a BIG tendancy to get away from you once edited
  13. Welcome Buddy. Not sure why you would want to Supercharge the N/A, when the technology and knowhow to Absolutely get the best from a Turbo is at your fingertips. Would probably cost twice as much to get half as much performance gain. Never know, someone probably has done it, just cause they can.
  14. Good Stuff Lukey. Great to see you get out there amongst it I would say that the other bloke stalled up slightly higher than you, and then stuffed up a gear change or hit the limiter. Mind you stalling up further = more chance of Tranny failure Was his Edited, or Chipped ?? Either way, Again, well done Luke, another T in the 12's Alan
  15. What can I say that's not already said. Glad you walked away. Pretty scary when this happens. As others have said, cars can be replaced, lives cannot. Having walked away without a bruise a couple of weeks ago from a 100km/h writeoff, understand how you feel. AAMI are very good to deal with. Gave me no crap whatsoever. very professional. Good Luck. Alan
  16. Seems a bit pricy to me. That's effectively $700 for the tune. Have you rung HPF and tried them. I thought a tune was around $300, but maybe I'm off the mark. Makes my Edit and Custom HPF tune @ $1297 a bargain.
  17. Looks like the strap on is on its way back
  18. Good Luck boys. Going away , damn it all.
  19. Mine ran consistent low 13's with 241rwkw running stock everything, besides an Edit and homemade $35 CAI. Running the same trim as every other day of the week. 35PSI in the stock 17" dunlops, sedan. Stalled to 2000rpm (to ensure gearbox longevity) although in hindsight, a total waste of caring in my case. May as well have stalled at 5000rpm ;-) Ran 109 - 110mph over 5 runs. Worst was 13.43, best was 12.987, averaged 13.2. Were you losing traction, as mine at those times never spun the wheels, dont even remember getting a chirp. Maybe Calder is more sticky. Good Luck, with that power, should be able to get into the 12's
  20. The same reason as heaps of other threads have stated, even though you have passed peak torque, the torque amplification of the lower gear means better acceleration than changing into a higher gear. You would have to calculate where the edge of the torque cliff x said gear is worse than next gear at bigger torque. That's probably 100rpm before limiter in the T

    Gettin Trippy

I'm supposed to be working, now my head hurts.

    Ford Recall

If you get her re-flashed by Ford, then suggest you book the car back in to your friendy APS man same day or next. Strange, thought they would have done it in April. They did mine in Feb. New flash is said to play havoc with the Unichip
  23. The 3rd program is a 'Valet' map, rev limited to 3500rpm.
  24. Try this. From one of the other forum members. 'Mickq' if I remember right Running_In.doc
  25. Sorry buddy, wont make this one Can I bring the missus Corolla
