  1. Fcuken very nice! :banghead2:
  2. What the? I bet some nob will buy them!
  3. Try this? http://www.autospeed.com/shop/category_705/browse.html
  4. I have seen that before on high humidity days. If it was refrigerant, you would know by a strong smell, its properly just moisture off the coil! If your concered, check the sight glass on the pipe work for bubbles in the engine bay. Was it a humid day when it happened?
  5. Did one better, called into to see the boys today, they quoted me $750 for new leafs and front springs drive in drive out, still deciding if to go for new leafs or just lowering blocks, which’s brings the price down to about $500.
  6. Had one at the tollgates on the M2 heading to the city. A black XR8, WRX, a late model Ferrari not sure what type don’t know much about them and my Ute. We left the toll gates at the same time, smashed the XR8, caught up to the rex and sitting on the tail of the Ferrari, got my ass kicked at the long sweeping turn just before the Deli road turn off. Now I know way they cost so much, they not to hard to keep up with a high-powered streetcar, but try racing them around a corner at 200kms and this guy could drive the thing! This type of thing is what you dream about, what’s the chances of this happening again? Top stuff.
  7. No worries. Yep I used King springs all round, SL in the front and SSL in the back. It lowered the car at each corner about 3.5cms from standard. I'm happy with the height, although the mid section of the exhaust scrapes over some speed bumps if I'm not careful (found a new use for the heat shield ). The ride is pretty much the same, perhaps in a straight line you can feel the bumps a smidge more. In the corners it feels alot more composed and flatter, it seems to be able to change direction mid corner alot better too. A reasonable result for the price. Ben <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds good, that’s the only thing that concerns me is the exhaust! Being an APS system the high flow cat hits some speed humps now if I go over them too fast, buts that’s the draw back when you go lower. Do you remember the part numbers for the coils and leaf springs?
  8. Has the car ever been in a prang. If so that might be the issue? Just another possibility. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Na, never be bent, but this has been an issue from day one! I had the car back at ford five times and they still could get it right. Ended it taking it to Jaxx tyres and they were the only tyre place to get the car to drive straight, but the two front tyres scrubbed out on the inside of the tyres after 20,000kms.
  9. Has any one toyed with the idea of fitting traction control to the Utes, I wounder what’s involved? Its seems strange it was never done in production considering it’s a Ute! What about the pursuits and tornados, do they have it? Cheers Micksta
  10. Thanks for the feedback Will and Ben, I have herd good results from wholesale suspension, so I will go them a go, If I donk have any luck I will try ace tyres. How low did you go on yours Ben, I’m thinking about lowering mine too, did it affect the ride much? Did you use King Springs?
  11. The best I can get is just over 500kms around town and the worst I got was about 390kms, 650kms on a long trip, that's after modifications. If you can drive it easer, you should be getting better fuel economy, because you have more power! Average fuel economies when my Ute was stock- 470kms, modified- 490kms and I still give it a bit. It must be the tune, the usage at the wost should be 17-18L/100, and you still have standard injectors. Try a tune from someone Who nose their stuff, forget Ford, this would be the best way to check, compare from other people’s comments and fuel consumption.

    Road Toll

    Sounds good to me!
  13. How different do they sound to the factory ones, with about 12 to 13psi? Mine has that flutter sound, but my mate has the FX BOV on his rex and sounds like a whip cracking, very ricey! What about the aps one, any comments? Cheers Micksta

    Road Toll

I think it’s to do with the population and the way people drive in Sydney! After visiting other states. I.e.: VIC, QLD, WA, NT and Tassie, people in Sydney drive like dick heads on the roads. I spend a lot of time on Sydney roads and the amount of near misses and arrogant drives on the roads I lose count! We just seem so stressed and agro on the roads, I have seem so many having punch ups, people pulling out weapons attacking other drivers, because someone cut them off, what’s going on? I’m sure the government can bring other laws like double points, but is that really going to work? I believe education is the answer, on the subject of government subsidizing training course, when I got my motor bike licence it was two weekends training course run by stay upright, which had reduce major accidents and deaths by 80%, when it was introduced, which is subsidised by the government and out ways the cost of disability care for motor cyclist. Understanding the cost for drivers, but I would be happy to pay a couple of extra dollars at rego time, for training of novice drivers if it may save their life! As for road rage, I don’t know the answer.
  15. Check out this video guys, this rider is f*#ken awesome! http://media.putfile.com/Snelheidsduivel33

    Xr6t Vs Ss

You must have so much fun with those plates! I have seen rego plates on a V6 Late model camira 4DKILA, so I just had to prove him wrong and embarrass him in front of his mates!

    Xr6t Vs Ss

Every time I ran an SS Ute or sedan when my car was stock, the SS would get the jump off the lights, real him in 2nd gear and would be half a car length in front at about 100-120kms. That was the older SSs, the 260kw Utes are tougher to beat, but never had the change to run one! Not stock anyway, now its a joke I feeel sorry for them! And if your worried about your warranty, just do some small basic mods, that you can change back to stock if something goes wrong! Like Edit, Unichip, exhaust, CAI ands exhaust! You wont care once the get the mod bug!
  19. Can any one recommend a good wheel alignment place in western Sydney area? I have had some much trouble with wheel alignments, no can seem to get it right! Tried Jax tyres, Pedder’s, Bob Jane and Ford. I’m running factory 18-inch wheels with Dunlop’s SP9000 series and had so much trouble getting it right! Seems to be either good tyre wear with the car pulling to the left, or bad tyre wear with the car driving straight! Changed wheels around, tyre pressure and that nothing seems to work! May be a camber castor kit is the answer? Appreciate some feed back guys? Cheers Micksta
  20. Just out of interest, did you alter the picture of your number plate, or do you have that special spray on stuff, so speed camera s can’t take a photo of your number plate? It dose look like glair from something on the number plate! Micksta
  21. I can’t help you with the injectors, but I love the computer rage man!
  22. I found one! It was the APS cold intake mounted on the front of the air box. I unplugged the Uni chip and dropped the socket down the side of the air box. So I had to remove the air box and to find it, once the air box went back in, the rattle stopped. I was on my way to Ford trying to find the rattle. It must have been the way it was installed, banging against the headlight! That’s one down, about five to go! Hope this helps guys, if you have air box mods. Micksta
  23. I just went to the snow on the weekend and there was an XR6T sedan, with standard wheels on the rear! What I good idea, don’t need to worry about recking your XR wheels, Ill think ill try that next time I go to the snow, call in to the wreckers first.
  24. You don’t need to remove the injectors with out the Uni chip. I have removed my twice and left the bigger injects in, the car still runs ok but it runs very rich and use’s a load of fuel. Depending what the problem with the car is, if not engine related, I would leave it the way it is. I have had my car back to ford with the Uni chip in and never had an issue; the comment that was said was from the mechanic saying- this thing hammers! Remember these mods don’t actually void your warranty, unless Ford can prove what every the problem may be is directly related from these mods! The best thing is to find a friendly dealer, I have found Ford to be pretty good with mods. Micksta
  25. Just for some of you guys check out this xr8 bulge on the Expensive Daewoo tell me it doesn`t look hot for a holden Na, just doesn’t look as good on a Expensive Daewoo than a Ford!
