  1. Will you be entering the car in Horsepower Heros? I think, with 700hp at the treads, you would have won last years 6cyl class.....
  2. Any time Mick & I can't wait for Indy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neither can I!
  3. This is good news! 300rwkw is a good thing! Re-tune time Rob! 300 here we come!
  4. Umm, there are two hinges and two latches, that's it, where's this $800 part go? And FOrd don't fit them at the factory, they are all done in PD. When I bought mine, I asked every dealer if they could build the car with the lugs removed at the factory, and they all said no, they tried that once and it was too costly, so they are all fitted in Pre Delivery. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ford do fit them from factory! IT IS A FACTORY OPTION. The way to tell is: If it has just the two hinges at the front, it is a PD fit. If it has a 1 piece aluminium plate at the front of the tub, it is a FACTORY FIT. And also, if you request it, Ford CAN put the lugs in. We have a Rapid XR6T in at work at the moment if you require proof. You obviously didn't ask the right dealer. It may indeed cost more to get it fitted at the factory, I dont know, but they do a much better job than the PD team ever will.
  5. We've got a nice silhouette GT-P out on the lot at the moment, got them ultra sexual chocolate 19in FPV wheels, I heard the heater is a cracker in that one too....
  6. Something nice happened to me today. Really opened my eyes to us here at the Forum, made me realise that we really are a "community". I posted in another thread that I was having troubles sorting out some freight, and a certain member from QLD went out of his way to find my number, and gave me a call to offer his assistance. He didn't have to do this, but he did. And I really appreciate that kind of sh!t. He also offered to do some of these one's at Indy this year and I strongly intend to be holding up my end of that bargain.
  7. I think that error message has something to do with the globe being blown in the "taxi" dome light on the roof of your WWW warrior.....
  8. Totally agree.
  9. We fixed Aaron's heater recently, however I don't think it was a temp issue, it was a direction issue. Thought id pipe up anyhow and share the fix. Hope it helps. There was a shaft that connects what the techs call a "HIM" to the actual ICC, the shaft had snapped. Unfortunately, I dont recommend you taking this job on Jewels, it isn't a 5 minute fix. Best be getting your friendly dealer to have a butchers hook, and attempting to properly diagnosing it. I think that the new BA's also don't come with the good ol' heater tap anymore, which makes things harder again.....
  10. If you can, get it optioned from the factory. FoMoCo use aluminium strips at the front and the rear of the tub that do a much better job of securing the cover to the tub. These strips are availalbe separately at spare parts, but it is over $800.... unfortunately the method that FoMoCo used when attaching a hardcover after delivery aren't nearly as neat as factory fitted jobbies, which is a real shame. I wish they would all use the factory method.
  11. Rung Simon today, he said he would get back to me with a freight price quote, im still waiting for my call back..... might go to bed now, hope I get a call in the morning...... :banghead:
  12. What a great night! Big thanks to Kitty and Aaron for organising the BBQ, and having us all over. Plenty of laughs, hung on each other, and enjoying each others company. Great to finally be able to put a face to the name, Ian and Anita, you's are absolute legends! :banghead:
  13. I am keen for some of these pipes Macka. Can you supply them "raw" ie not polished? I would be prepared to polish them myself. Would this keep costs down, as I imagine polishing and grounding all the welds is a very labour intensive project.....

    Warped Bonnet?

Yea Scotty, im currently trying to screw the boss over so I can do exactly that! If the bonnets are stuffed, there is no way im paying cost, you can get a newie for that! Once the boss spews a figure at me, ill let you's all know. Stocktake is coming up, and there is no point counting damaged stock......
  15. See you's tomorrow! Just gotta decide which car/s to bring......
  16. Ive got just the place for one of these flash DJR jobbies.........

    Warped Bonnet?

We have 5 bonnets at work, that are all "warped" due to insufficient glue between the reinforcement and the bonnet skin. They are more wobbly than me after a hard nights at the Orion.... Maybe something to check?
  18. Dunno George, I will fit it up tomorrow, and get some opinions. But im a big fan of the DJR style lip spoilers..... reckon that will top it off nicely!
  19. Ha I thought about that, and I know what the answers would have been! "Whats missing?" Top coat of paint? Number plate? The rest of the car?
  20. Yes, they are all held with double sided tape, but the major work is with the Ford oval, the bootlid is actually indented where it goes, so we had to cut a oval out of steelplate, weld it in, and file it smooth. Getting the bootlid to keep its shape is hard in that section, it bends around quite a bit, and to make it look factory is not easy! And the fact that these bootlids are so thin makes it harder again.
  21. Thanks Scoty, I knew you would approve! There is also only 1 badge on my XC...... kompressor but after the respray it will probably get the heave ho as well.
  22. Macka, they look the goods! Are they mandrel bends? Or did you use mandrel donuts? I am currently polishing the black "crossover" section to chrome alloy finish, I reckon this combination would look great!
  23. I rescued a damaged bootlid out of the hopper recently, fixed all the dents, and decided to weld in a plate to cover the section where the "FORD" badge would normally go! All I gotta do now is put the top coat on! I still have my original bootlid, so if I dont like the look, I can swap back easily enough. Sorry, no shots of the boot on the car!

    Thanks Hpf

What, the Jatco? I was just sharing a experience on how one of my mates put a purpose built box into his Femini, and how much of a difference it made! Dear o dear scotty......
  25. I heard all those ones from down that way have really good sense of taste Macka Lumpy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey! Ease up! I reckon it will look great once finished.... Just gotta Vortech him them glenn!
