  1. Found a photo from the drags, it's filthy from roadworks on the way, about to get it's ass kicked by a Blown VE Senator Signature but still a cool pic.
  2. Balloon-knot
  3. Well didn't I open a can of worms!
  4. Yeah, not sure what was going on there. Nearly 100mph with a foggy windscreen was interesting.
  5. Hey gents Got a long trip this weekend totalling about 1000km, however I have to take my old mans camper trailer back to him. That's the first part of the trip. My options are tow the trailer with the turbo for the 300km and have a confortable, powerful sedan for the other 700kms of the trip Or Tow the trailer with my patrol, which will handle the towing part great but then will have a slowish rough ass 4x4 for 700km if highway driving. Will the turbo handle the weight of the trailer? It's all steel trailer not aluminium and is offroad height. The XR has a Mal Wood clutch but is the 5 speed. Thoughts? Pic of trailer and 'trol
  6. Hey turbowelshy, yeah you did, and destroyed me. Haha. You've got a bonnet bulge don't you?

Just drove 150km to the strip last night with 4 adults and my son in his baby seat, had 8 or 9 runs down the strip and drove home again. Very capable mate.
  8. Brenno and Kyle. Kyle in the VE (brother it round the wrong way on the name) got left sleeping on the lights.
  9. This was my best run of the night. Left a cherry on the tree though.
  10. Was an awesome night, I progressively got better. First run was a 15.77 with no idea how to launch the big girl, ended up with a best of 14.90 at 92mph with baby seat, spare tyre, jack, socket set and half a tank of juice. Managed to bog down, forgot to turn traction off a few times and stalled it a few times, red lit once but managed to have an awesome time. Thanks again Brenno for your helmet, much appreciated. Here's the slip from my best run, managed to get my 60ft down from 2.7x to 2.3x which took 8 tenths off my et. Will get the footage up when I get it from my brother. Here's the run of Brenno V me, he missed 3rd and still owned me!
  11. Weather looks favorable, Brenno and I are heading down for a blat
  12. Can't wait to see the results
  13. Whether forecast isn't looking real promising for Friday. Predicting heavy rain.
  14. Fair enough gents, Nulon it is in 7500km's time.
  15. Serviced the XR today so have got nice new oil, oil filter and fuel filter for Friday. Much smoother now.
  16. Ended up with Edge 10w-60
  17. Just found that the spark plugs were replaced at 75,000
  18. People, Just a quick question, sorry if it's been answered a million times, couldn't seem to find anything in a search. Looking at doing a service on my car today '03 XR6T manual 105,000 km. Question being, do I need to use a fully synthetic oil or will a semi-synthetic like HPR-15 do the job? Also, does anyone know when the spark plugs would've been or should be replaced? Will have a look at the service manual when I get home from the outlaws a bit later if that'll tell me anything.
  19. Just scored four BA rims and tyres for $100, just hope they make it here for next Friday, might be able to cut a bit of a skid without destroying my 18's. As long as it doesn't axle tramp like it usually does in the wet.
