  1. Got it. Time for a steak!
  2. Got 4. Going for 225kg single
  3. This is the challenge for today's lunch time workout. Hoping for 2 or 3 reps
  4. I know mate, he's a machine. That was after doing a rep pb of 125kg for 10 reps! Makes me look weak as the proverbial.
  5. This is my brother dominating a 160kg bench press at 103kg.
  6. Got to do some light squats today. Felt great to get the bar back on the shoulders! Worked up to a set of 5 @ 100. Had to stop myself loading 140 on the bar. Paattiiieeeence!
  7. Diagnosed with a lateral ligament strain of the left knee. Means no heavy squats for about another month! Still managed 220kg deadlift today at new body weight of 131 which is same as my 240 at 139, approx 1.7x bodyweight
  8. Not enough mate. 80% of my workouts I'm the only man in there. Having said that there's a lot of people that only train singlet weights who come here
  9. Since I lift at lunch in the work gym I only have 45mins to get through my main lifts and assistance lifts so not much break at all between lifts. 3 mins at best I'd say.
  10. Today was tough, feeling a bit weak after a crappy nights sleep (damn kids!) so only managed the 5x160, 5x170 and 5x180 deads in my program. Tried for a single at 220kg but failed. Next time gadget!
  11. I don't use straps on deads but have used them doing heavy dumbell rows though. I use farmers walks etc to increase grip strength. Even assistance work (say 5x10 at 120 for deads) is great for grip strength.
  12. Nah mate, I use the rule "If you can't hang onto it it's too heavy" I do use chalk though and that alone makes a huge difference. Didn't need straps on 240kg, just chalk.
  13. Should hit 7kg bf lost tomorrow. Under 10kg to go to make into 125kg powerlifting weight class. Also means the 135kg bench I did on Friday is a pb, not an overall pb but bw% pb. Deadlifts tomorrow, bring it on!
  14. Tough day at the gym today, felt very weak. 200kg dead felt like a pb! Just got changed and went back to work, can't achieve much on days like that!
  15. Mate I was up around 139kg with a LOT of bodyfat. Have manage to bring that down to 133.45 as of this morning using intermittent fasting and a lot of lifting. Probably got another 10kg of bodyfat to lose at least. So my weights coming down and my PBs keep going up so my percentage are getting better. I'm 187cm as well
  16. Hey gents Been on the forum a while but only just found this thread. Been training in gyms for years but mainly been focusing on powerlifting this year using Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 program. It's going great. My brother and I are looking at competing in a novice PL comp in January in bris Vegas. Current 1rms are DeadlIft - 240kg Squat - 185kg Bench - 135kg (my weakest lift) OHP - 90kg
  17. The broncos game and a beer is looking more and more likely.
  18. Still not looking good for tomorrow.
  19. And the weather is still sh*t!
  20. Weathers not looking great at the moment!
  21. With a stock car? I think not
  22. Ha ha. Anybody running At Benaraby this Friday night?
  23. He's not really my mate so I've got no dramas talking him down but not sure if he's willing to break up the set. I can ask. What's 'next to nothing' worth?
  24. I know a guy with 4 BA XR alloys for sale with tyres here in Rocky. Tyres have been off the car for about 2 years so they may be a bit hard.
