  1. With the pricing on the new VF SS being so sharp, there will be some serious discounts on the XR6T & G6ET ifFord want to sell anything at all.
  2. Dude mines white with black leather, not much interior designer about that. XRs have the designer cloth interior and stitching on gear shift and steering wheel, colour coordinated with the duco. Mines more about going a bit faster, stopping a bit better and handling a bit better.
  3. The G6ET is about class which you obviously have none of!!!!!! Plenty of people with G6ETs on here who I think would disagree with you.
  4. The 50th is not silver, it's titanium. The photos don't really do it justice . It works very well with the black leather. The cashmere and piano black match nicely. As for why I got a G6ET over the XR6 it was partly for the sleepy look,no body kit or boot spoiler etc and also the leather is much better(at least if feels better) with the memory seating, passenger mirror dipping for reverse, rear camera all standard. I factored in the true trac but also added the alloy brake/accelerated pedals which adds a nice touch( should have been standard).
  5. I agree with the black piano dash looking a bit ordinary. That's why I choose the G6ET 50th anniversary with the brushed titanium look dash spears, looks classier IMO.
  6. Did sway bars/springs/bilsteins/brakes/true trac/diff bushes in my G6ET. Now I have luxury and handling(not EVO but still hell fun). So it's not quite as soft as stock but hey they are a bit of a boat in original form..
  7. Got front and rear adj whitelines in mine, super fun thru roundabouts now.
  8. My suspension workshop has had a couple of cars fitted with XYZs fail roadworthy inspections here in Perth. Not because of being too low but because of the shock platform being adjustable as well as the spring platform. Not sure of laws in other states but they were removed to get the cars passed. Same workshop fits Tiens as well and they pass fine, only have spring platform adjustment.
  9. There have been some cases of the earlier comfort bushes failing. Should not be a problem with warranty. They have redesigned the comfort bush and now give a lifetime warranty.
  10. +allow for waste gate porting if you opt for a full exhaust.
  11. The G6ET leather is pretty good quality. So much better than that in the Calais. Leather for me, especially if you have kids, cleaning is a breeze.
  12. Fitted by dealer after delivery.
  13. G6ET did not come standard with a LSD, however some cars had one fitted by dealers. Special order.
  14. With those mods you will easily go 300+ at the rears( I have similar mods in my 2010 G6ET). Biggest plus with the smaller turbo the FG uses is the almost zero lag. Makes for a very quick street car and hell fun to drive around the burbs. Monsta Torque in Malaga are another option to XFT, I wouldn't use anyone else other than these two.
  15. Just pop into a Ford dealership and check the FGs on the lot, guarantee most are out at least a few mm. Might not be the cradle out, might be the body panels! Always seems to be towards the drivers side too.
  16. Pretty much perfect height! Good work, nice to see updated pics once the 20s and Brembos go on.
  17. There are 2 types of rear camber kits available. First is an eccentric bush for the upper inner arm good for around up to .75 deg adjustment. Second is an adjustable arm good for around up to 2-2.5 deg adjustment. Not sure if your vibration is from poor camber, although my G6 is at 340mm hub to guard and I have front and rear camber kits and have no vibrations.
  18. Top mounts, my suspension shop says been seeing a few come through the workshop with a noise in the front end. More so happening just after having been lowered. I have one that makes very minor annoying uneven grinding sound, very intermittent depending on road surface and loading on that side.
  19. I also have 60ib siemans and was tuned with Sniper(I think it was called that) and the tune was average at best, and was the best they could do. I eventually went to another tuner who used SCT and sorted most of the issues, but my new tuner also went on to say he finds the 60lb sieman injectors best suited for BA/F. My idle is not the smoothest(apparently common with the siemans) and fuel economy is very average. Seems the IDs are now the injectors of choice along with SCT tuning software.
  20. Be wary of novating and FBT if you pay child support, can be very costly to you and the ex gets a huge bonus.
  21. My car allowance was paid TAX FREE, you need to make sure you use the money to run your vehicle or you will be liable to pay tax on the unused portion at the end of the fiancial year. Of course you can novate a lease but depending on the KMs you do for the year it can end up costing you over the allowance due to the FBT liability A lot of people where I worked use to make money on their allowance by using cheap cars or pass the cars on to family members after a few years. I have done both but now have a provided fully maintained company car I can use privately. Given the choice the provided car is much easier in the end, with your own car you have to take care of all the servicing, insurance, accidents, loan cars etc. as well as justifying all the costs to the ATO. However you do get the choice of vehicles(depending on any company policies ie carrying capacity, safety). Do your homework, speak to your accountant, otherwise it could end up costing.
  22. You won't get 300rwkw @ 8psi from the stock G6ET. Pretty sure stock boost is around 9-10psi. It'll need 13-15psi to get 300.

    Made It

How do you pick these restrictive rear mufflers? Are they only on BFs or are they on FG systems as well? Single 3.5 and twin 2.5?
  24. How long have this new type been available?
  25. Here in Perth from a Harrops agent, mine was around $2250 from memory, fitted with superpro bushes. As above this was before Harrops began discounting. them
