Nah, this is typical Aust engineering!! Expensive Daewoo have similar problems, if you don't like the issues you can always buy a jap or european car! Instead of going to Ford HQ, why not go to the Office of fair trading! After all it is the dealers responsability who sold you the car, not actually Ford! It will definately be the discs going out of shape from the heat! Both the T's I've run down the quarter shudder when braking, they just can't handle the heat!! They're pretty crap for a performance car!! Russ

Mate if what you say is true why can't the so called distributor state that when people phone up!!! I did speak to Scott today, as I have spoken to Justin & Tim in previous conversations also, on numerous occasions! My question to Scott today was when will we see the flasher for the BA falcon, his answer was the typical "we haven't received them they're in transit". Now even I can track shipments around the globe, so I'm sure a company who relies heavily on receiving goods from the States can also! I also asked him how much will they cost, & he said $1695 for the T & $1595 for the rest. Then I asked do you get any custom tunes, etc? he said "no just the tune that comes with the device". I asked what about injectors & mods etc do I have to pay extra for tuning? He said "yes all custom tuning is on top of $1695" Now I'm not after a great deal, but I've been following this since Batton was onto it, and the pricing from what CAPA quote is a joke! If they don't know what is going on with the sale of the item, then how am I or others who are interested supposed to! Spoke to CAPA today & got told the price is $1695 with no dyno time or custom tuning, just the box & upgrade tune for stock T! Each time I speak to them the bloody price keeps going up!!! When it does eventually arrive (In 2 weeks) I can't imagine what it will cost!!! I think it's time for me to say stuff it & go get a strap on! I just thought I'd keep you all up to date with what they are telling me over the phone! Russ

Basically equivalent to a 1.7L NA engine, I wouldn't call it a world beater! Seeing as the 3 pot NA is lucky to accelerate with the air con on, I can't see the hair dryer making it fly! Russ

This is supposed to be hush hush, but I heard Moffats son was testing with DJR today at QLD Raceway! Don't know if he's got a ride, that all depends on what times he puts in, but seeing as Moffat is loved by ford fans I can see him driving for them next year!

You need to get some full time practical experience! I mean you need to get a job or at least do some work experience & not expect to get paid big $$$$ I get a resume per week with people wanting IT work, what they don't realise is that the paper that says you're got the theory means jack unless you have the practical!! Most of them think that they can walk straight into a well paying job! You can pass all the exams you want, but without the hands on knowledge no one wants to know! Personally a I have no qualifications written on paper except a computer course I completed when I was about 20 years old & my Electronics trade & Engineering certs, but I run my own IT service business that specialises in supplying service to business clients. Before I started my business a friend told me, & he is correct, that customers don't care about what written qualifications you have, just wether you're good enough to do the work! I prefer to train my technicians from the beginning, I mean I always employ trainees. That way I'm assured they learn from my experience & not some pin head teacher who knows nothing, & believe me all teachers through out my training can't hack the real work! Regards Russ

Looks like it is single port routing modem! Just an access point should do, the Asus 11MBPS is all you'll need, they're around $80.00 & can be used later as a wireless NIC for things such as XBOX, VOIP (with handset) You don't need faster as the ADSL can't run faster than the wireless access point! But if you still want a router I've sold a few Asus wireless routers recently, they seem to be the best bang for buck! 54G wireless USB & Parallel print server options built in USB digital camera option 4 port 10/100 switch Works with ADSL, Bigpond Cable, Optus Cable. Nice & easy to setup! I also recommend SMC Barricade routers, they seem to work well on ADSL/Bigpond Cable/Optus Cable as well as fall back to dialup if required & come with built in print server I have had issues with DLink equipment locking up & requiring resetting quite often! The SMC has one of the strongest signals out of all that I've tested & sold, brands like Linksys, Belkin, Billion etc are pretty piss weak! From experience Asus, SMC & Netgear are pretty good! Must be similar mod to what Craig & Dean are using! Basically what shift kits would be doing anyway, except they have a switch to choose different degrees of firmness & seem to be still using the solenoid! This is the DIY version & seems to be not using the solenoids at all, where as the shift kits version look as though the still do! Russ

Previous VT Dunnydoor owner & went for a T after drive in a mates! Still own my '92 Hilux SR5 Turbo Diesel 4wd (Can't beat the reliability & running costs of these) Recently bought a Expensive Daewoo Combo (Perfect work flog) Until the BA, I would have chosen a Expensive Daewoo in the sedan market any day, especially after hiring plenty of AU sedans, but since the BA Ford definately have a good product! Fords major problem is R&D into technology for the Australian market, this is the greatest improvement they've made for years. Even with the BA, they only first released a 5 speed manual & 4 speed auto, they need to be up there with Expensive Daewoo to compete properly! The only downfall for me in the BA is they still have the most useless boot in any car on the market! Try loading a pram & enough gear for 2 kids! Russ

Stuff the Split systems, I went a ducted 3 phase system a couple of months ago! cost me $13k, but it cools the whole house inc the garage!!! After last summer I told the AC guys, I want to walk through the whole house and not have hot spots! Nothing comes close to a ducted AC system!

But according to ford not good for towing, at least not rated as much as NA vehicles!!! Russ

(They may as well have got a zippy box from Dick Smith & had a cable hanging out of it, for all then good that is) Thay haven't received stock & haven't finished training (so they say) Also said around a week to 10 days away! I might start recording my conversations so I can make an audio file with their different answers! if you meet Street Tuner, ask him when it will really be released & don't let him tell you 2 weeks!!

Paid cash for both the ones I've bought, I don't like finance companies telling me what to do & scrutinising my credit, & can't be stuffed going through the paperwork!! Besides you can flick the cars with no payout figures etc. Russ

Todays story from CAPA regarding the edit is that it will be at the show this weekend, but it won't be for sale. They're waiting one of the following the brochures to be printed the stickers to be made the goods to get here (still in transit) the development to be completed the paperwork to be finalised with SCT the dealers to be finalised the dealers to be trained These are the excuses I've heard so far! I'm beginning to think that CAPA won't be releasing it, 'cause rocket Industries have beaten them to it (I heard this story about 2 weeks ago) I'm glad I'm not hanging by my balls waiting!! Russ
