You cut the tap length and grind the flat faces for your spanner on the bench,in a vice/vice grips im prety certain the holes you are talking about are blind holes(dead end ) ,stick some wire in hole to verify first,no file shavings dramas then

In tight locations such as this one,you can sometimes shorten the length of the thread tap,use a cutting disk on a grinder,since you have cut off the square end required for your tapping wrench ,then grind some flat surfaces,to suit an open ended ring spanner,I have done this many times when cleaning threads in innacessible holes

The threads might need a clean up with an m8 tap. Just compare the bolt thread with the thread tap,and ensure the tap has the right pitch first

Myne is the factory fitted alarm and its a pain in the ass ,it re arms itself when you are near the car,as long as keys arent in the ignition.Ford says its a great safety feature,which helps forgetfull people lol you should see me curse their name when doing late night shopping,its dark and raining and the alarm is going off whilst im rapidly putting the shopping bags in the boot ,priceless To use an Auto electrician or alarm installer might be the way
