  1. The engine bays look so clean with the plenums
  2. Take a pic so we can see the whole front end with the leds on
  3. Yep that was me, still haven't got around to it haha. Have to pull my finger out!
  4. I'm sure it's been done plenty of times. Just get your box dimensions right and ensure you dynamat the wheel well.
  5. Thanks for the tips Keddy. Yeah it's the first time I have wet sanded, how bad is that haha. Still tempted to go a finer grit, but once its put on the car, I don't really see myself cleaning the I/C too much.
  6. Yeah, wasn't the cleanest after the sanding, and some of that stuff is hard to clean off haha. But she's all done now, just need to figure out a time to install it.
  7. Thanks mate, thought the process would take a lot longer than it did. Also with the compound remember to only use a little at a time otherwise you will get clunks of it on the metal as well as overload the wheel.
  8. Yeah, shes definitely coming along little piece by piece. But not to far away from where I want to be haha. Still waiting for that Mothers kit to rock up haha, hopefully it will be at work tomorrow sometime. Looks like I will just be in the market for intake + battery relo, Cat and xcal + Tune.
  9. Polished the I/C here Also should have some injectors on the way.
  10. Hey guys, A couple of weeks ago I picked up a second hand PW Stage 2 I/C kit. The whole kit looked quite good except for one thing, it had lost it's shine! After a little youtubing and googling, I found some decent steps on how to get a nice shine out of it. So off to bunnings I went to purchase some sand paper and metal polishing equipment. What I ended up purchasing was 360g, 600g and 800g sand paper (if I wasn't as lazy with the sanding, I probably would have gone up to 1200 to give a more mirror reflective surface) and also a Josco metal polishing kit which was about $30. The kit came with 2 wheels and 2 compounds, a harder wheel + cutting compound and a softer wheel + polishing compound. The whole process is fairly straight forward. Remember that with the sandpaper, you have to wet sand. Started with the 360g and worked my way around the I/C going one direction, and then going perpendicular to that grain. Think I did that about 4 times. Then worked my way up the grits and did the same process. Once I was fairly happy with the sanding, I cracked out the polishing kit. First attacking it with the harder wheel and cutting compound which I also went one way, then changed agaisnt the grain. Then hit the softer wheel and polish compound. I polished it 3 or so times I think, each time coming up better. The last layer I cracked out the car polish and went over it. In the pics you will be able to see the difference in the polished and unpolished area at the bottom of the I/C So for someone who hasn't attempted this before, I was quite happy with the end results. Let me know what you all think! Gaz
  11. Cheers, also have started the polishing of the intercooler. Picked up some sand paper and a metal polishing kit from bunnings. I'll put some pics up once its finished. Definitely looking a lot shinier already!
  12. Race Brakes Sydney or GSL Rally Sport.
  13. hmm might give it a go seeming its fairly harmless on the wallet. Doubt I would feel any difference running stock tune, but I'd know it was there haha. Thanks for the responses guys.
  14. Could you please go on with the benefits of it? I intend to keep the factory intake until I have more cash saved up for the rest of the mods.
  15. Hi there guys, Just wondering if there is much benefit changing the stock intake filter with the K&N one? Relatively cheap changeover. Should I expect any power or economy changes? Gaz
  16. Got notified a few hours ago on facebook that I had won the first of the Mothers Portable Wax Attack kits

Yeah mine were $30~ delivered from eBay. Not to fussed about bulb life as they are only high beams which will only be flashed every now and then..
  18. Helping my bro move tomorrow, but till try and get around to doing a sound clip, both in car and out. Also should have a PW stage 2 kit on its way sometime next week, which I'll attempt to install myself.
  19. Took the car to Castle Hill Exhaust/Performance this morning with my mate (and his SS). Both got the centre mufflers chopped out. In love with the sound already, and the backfire it makes is incredible, but stupidly loud. In comparison to the SS, my car went from quieter, to louder. This is due to the SS having resonators after the centre muffler (which stayed in) Cost me $100, and my mate was meant to pay $120, but they didn't want to bother with $5 in coins, so charged him $115 haha. They have some pretty impressive cars there and I'm very tempted to get my car turned there.

I have 5000k for lows and Fogs. IMO probably should have gone lower with the fogs as they come out a bit blue.

The LED's are not from him, he may have them, but have not asked. The T10 9SMD LED's are probably the one's to go for. You can get them super cheap from overseas, but postage will take some time. My low beams wont go above the trunk line even when put all the way up. As for colour, the only change I see is when they warm up and after a couple seconds or so they are the right colour.
  22. You can buy mesh from bunnings I believe, not sure if this is what your looking for?
  23. Forget to read the first post mate? Also, your question has been answered many times. Just do a quick search and you should be able to find plenty of info.
