  1. I thought you would of been waiting for the XR8 or the GT. You can't go down from a Supercar to a 6, that would be torture..

In Sydney, the length of Henry Lawson Drive before they put in a perm. speed camera. In Vic, the Maroonda Hwy, between Buxton and Healesville (spelling?). Long (15km) strech of very curvy roads with almost every turn being a hairpin. I had heaps of fun going up and down in the Pulsar when I was down there (return trip almost every day for two weeks). Would be worth the trip just to take the XR6T for a spin!

It really depends where I am, and what mood I'm in. If I'm cruzin through Bankstown and other area's of the same type, where all the wanna be homies are blasting rap, r'n'b and sh*t like that, I put on some MetallicA, Fear Factory, KoRn. If I'm in a pissed of mood, Fear Factory or KoRn. If I'm in a happy mood, I blast some dance or Cro dance. If I don't want to blast, I just put on MMM.
  4. I love the night time shots mate. The ones between the two bridges (off Concord road?) make it look like it's lime, bloode awesome!

Nope. I'll presume your refering to the Motor mag 0-100 times, yeah? They ran the SS & R8 times at different locations and didn't make this clear in the article. In other words, they can't be comapared. Have a look at the pwr/kg of each car. There is no way the SS is the faster of the two. I think it was BFYB or PCOTY that they tested the SS and Clubsport. Was on the same road/track. It was from Motor Mag, I'll try to have a look this weekend to confirm. I know the Motor Mags you are talking about, the SS and R8 were in two different editions of the Mag. I know that does not count, as you said, plus temperatures, times, etc.

It's kind of like car DNA. HSV and BMW (might be others) have it on all their cars, HSV call it HSV DNA. It consists of the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), and it is sprayed around 10,000 times all over the car, on each part. The print is hard to see with the naked eye, usually a magnifying glass is needed.

    I'd help in setting it up, but won't go on any rides till I get the XRT;

I had glazing, rust proofing, fabric and vynil protection on my pulsar when I bought it. Set me back $900, got it from Endrust in Greenacre. It might be a different story for the leather seats though.

The SS is actually faster than the Clubsport.

The N/A XR6 competes with the Expensive Daewoo Supercharged 6. The XR6T competes with the SS, even though it will beat all 260kw HSV's in performance, price and features. The XR8 will compete with HSV Clubsport. The GT will compete with the HSV Clubsport R8 and maybe the GTS. The GT-P will compete with the HSV Senator. I read in Motor that Ford are thinking of bringing out a XR8 Jnr to compete with the Expensive Daewoo SV8. This will have the 220kw engine that is an option on the Falcon range.

They have an XR keyring. I bought it from the Discovery Center in Geelong. It's a 5 spoke alloy wheel with XR etched in. The bloody thing keeps comming off the screw though, got to tighten it up AGAIN!

The B4 wont stand a chance! Especially if its the Auto.

I think I'll prove to you it wasn't a GTR, but a stock N/A R33 with a wanna be GTR badge and body kit.

Do not, and I repeat DO NOT take your woman with you, unless she is a revhead. The place is cool, the only thing missing was a XE ESP which was taken out two weeks before I came :( I asked for some pics, but they didn't have any :( Heaps of classics there, worth the trip!
  16. I'd put one on next to the other sticker I want. Top front windscreen, in reversed letters so people can read it in their rear view mirrors; "If you can read this your going too slow!"

I would love to go, but I can't afford it. Out of a job next week, and saving for a house so my wife will let me get a XR6T. She says no house no car! Damn women.
  18. Cro replied to richdave's topic in Off-Topic
Flying down in your XR6T I hope.
  19. After you drop me off first!
  20. Cro replied to CJF077's topic in XR6 Turbo
I agree with richdave. Either wait for the 18's, or stick to the 17's. The second option will be cheaper and means you will get your car sooner. Does 1 inch really matter enough to delay your car even more? When are you picking me up by the way?
  21. I had the Paint Protection, Rust Proofing, Fabric Protection, Vinyl Protection, Sound Deadener/Dust Sealant on my Pulsar when I bought it. Cost me over $900. I had surface rust within a year on a chip in the bonnet after the first week. the only thing that was good is the fabric and vinyl protection, as it wouldn't let any liquids into the seats (if it is a cloth material) and the vinyl wouldn't crack (that's what I was told anyway). I would just get those two when I buy my XR6T.
  22. I think that was my fear. Looking like a mustard colour in the shade. Ahh well too late now! Im sure I will love it :D VX Late model camira SS comes in a mustard type colour, that's what the Acid Rush XR would probably look like. Still pretty damn nice.
  23. When I was driving up from the Gong (to Sydney) yesterday I saw a black XR6 (not a Turbo), my wife hasn't seen one yet, so until yesterday she wasn't totally convinced it was the best car for us. It was one of the most awesome car's I've seen, sleek, stylish, sporty, all the things you want a car to look like. I've got some serious talking to do with my wife, I want one NOW! (the XR6T of course).

Shell Opimax, BP Ultimate and Mobile Synergy 8000 are the 98 RON fuels. Where these are not available, Shell and BP use 96 - 97 RON PULP. Mobile uses 95 RON PULP where Synergy 8000 is not available. Caltex, Ampol use 95 - 96 RON PULP, with the exeption of Caltex Vortex which is 97 RON. The PULP you get from discount petrol stations is usually 93 - 95 RON, they mix different ones, depending on who they get their fuel from. The 98 RON PULP is usually 7 - 8 cents more exp than 91 RON ULP. The price goes up and down depending on availability. I have seen it as much as 20 cents more when almost all servo's were dry. In some cars 95 - 97 RON PULP is better than 98 RON PULP. This was the case for my 2000 Pulsar (a Nissan fuel technician told me about this). I got more power from 97RON, but less efficiency than 98 RON PULP. Some one needs to find out the best fuel to be used on the XR6T. I hope one of the Ford guys here can shed some light on this.
