  1. Scatterbrain, did you find they sit different on each side? As in one has more room than the other..... I did.
  2. And here is a video, re-doing the tune atm as they aren't happy with it. One of the lower power runs while working up the boost. Dunno what it made here. 430hp I think?
  3. Weird, I couldn't get a finger inbetween the inside of the rim and the upright. Not even close.. And if I ran anything wider than 245's they scrubbed on the outside.
  4. Good luck getting 9.5's on the front. Mine sat 5mm outside the guards and there was only about 3mm to spare on the inside... Ended up getting defected. Went back to 8.5's.
  5. Lol, I need to stop spending money on this and finish the pigma.. When you getting your dump brad?
  6. Sorry to drag this thread up from the dead... But I've got the standard intank pump with a bosch 044 inline.. Haven't had any probs with fuel surge yet. Why don't utes suffer from same problems as sedan?
  7. Haha, told you so.. No more hood decal afaik. New wheels, hopefully some 9.5's on the back.... I wish :(
  8. You're gunna get raped for quoting me and not using fast reply But on topic, that's the general consensus around here too. A 5k increase for just a motor is a bit steep in the publics eyes. New stripe packages won't cut it either. Needs to be something else... Yeha, my view is they will continue on with the GS nameplate.
  9. Got a verbal, onsale date - October 25th. Can sell beforehand. No word on XR8's yet. GT will be a 5k increase, there will be an entry level FPV below the GT.
  10. I also have no suspension travel and it's a ute. Both of them don't help my problem haha. Just put some new federal 595's on. 265/30/19. See how they go...
  11. I didn't pay the big $$. I had a side pipe made up. 4" dump, hiflow cat, hiflow muffler and out the side. Reason I put in a restrictor plate is because I didn't want to pay $500 to get the exhaust housing ported and larger flap. And I didn't want to do it myself cause its a daily driver. Don't have the time to have it off the road.
  12. Yo, I've got the 4" dumper. And my exhaust is probably a lot more free flowing than yours? No wastegate mods either. Just a restrictor plate so it would hold 14psi and not boost itself to 18psi.
  13. Couple of different dyno grahps.

Dude go, there is a heap from gladdy going as well. $180 if you nominate before middle of august. 26th to 29th of august I think? 26th is just scruit for the early birds. Events are 27th - 29th. Or Friday to sunday if I haven't got my dates right.

Probably not, don't want to break it before powercruise haha.
  17. Restrict your exhaust. Free flowing isn't always best. You probably don't have enough backpressure to let the gate work properly.
  18. Just drive it normally and keep an eye on your boost gauge if you have one. Also, if your exhaust is too free flowing and you can't keep boost down, chuck in a piece of steel with some holes drilled in it after the cat. Hell of a lot cheaper than porting your wastegate etc.. Main problem is not enough backpressure to keep the standard wastegate shut. MTQ highly recommends not using the internal gate for anything over 450rwhp on these cars. We got it right the first time and kept boost at a flat 14psi. But in saying that, its up to you what you do. Good luck with the tune! :D
  19. Yeah, and I bet over half will be sold before they get here. $50 says we'll get one bloke come in to buy one and have a cry about cruise control still not being a factory option haha.
  20. These things are selling faster than we can get them in! Haven't discounted one yet lol. Just tell em to go buy it elsewhere for $500 cheaper. Next bloke who walks in a day later will buy it. When I say discounted, I mean haven't gone under the sale price, on a contract it already shows around 12k discount on a turbo...
  21. It won't hurt it man. Just keep below 3500 or so. I had a side pipe and rapid v3 kit with actuator on the ute for over a week before I got it tuned. Just kept an eye on the AFR.
  22. You'll always see a little difference between manifold boost pressure and turbo boost pressure. Depends where your gauge is reading from.. I have an autometer one and it is about 2psi higher.
  23. Funny, I had a customer ask this today. Can he get touch screen ICC. You could definately do it but it would cost you a lot of time and money... Going on what senna_T is saying, it seems all you have left to install is some Tallie Holders. Commonly found on new Ford Transits... Seen here with a bottle of water where the tallie should be... Bloody brits!

I would have love to run at the drags. But didn't get tuned till Saturday during the dyno comp in rocky..

    Overboost

Rosie, do you have a high flowing exhaust? I found with an extremely high flowing exhaust (side pipe) we couldn't keep boost under 18psi with a 12psi actuator and no turbo mods. Easy fix to this is a restrictor plate after your cat. Basically a plate of steel with holes drilled in it. First try we netted a flat boost level of 14psi.. Bit cheaper than getting the housing ported and flapper mod. Basically you need backpressure in your exhaust to hold the wastegate shut, especially the standard flap. that's the short answer.
