  1. While on torque settings, pls can someone tell me the wheel nut setting Thanks
  2. get torch and have a look at the underbody or put it on a hoist.
  3. Have always wanted to take off the wheels and clean the rims properly. Thought they`d fit in the laundry sink, but too big, so had to use the bath. To remove tar based marks I had to use turps, rims came up great, better than I thought...but now the bath is oily has marks all over it, wife has the sh*ts big time. Maybe next time I`ll do it the outside, I don`t use the bath anyway. Glad I did it today, all the wheel nuts were only `firmly` tightened, zero effort needed to undo them (except one).
  4. 6 yr G6E T, 83,000 K`s original heat exchanger...soon to change though
  5. yep, 3 years from first date of registration (as long as its done less than 100,000 Ks), so if your car falls in this category, GET the My new ford warranty (if you want/need extended warranty), its basically a mirror of the new car warranty. Personally, I would not even consider `other` (non-Ford) types of warranty. My car is out of warranty now, but all up (I got the 3 years/100,000Klms) I had several claims, no dramas, no limit (market value of car at time of repair), no worries (diff bush, timing seal & sump, new speedo cluster which included tow, upper/lower rear control arms, control blades, fuel line/brake lines etc etc) I saved a lot of money.
  6. My 08 G6ET (silk colour) has had engine bay rust and underbody rust repaired a 3 times under warranty. It is parked outside and I live near the beach so I expect some corrosion, but I have read that others who live in the `bush` and park in their garage have similar rust issues, which it seems to originate in the manufacturing process. Ford cover it (rust) for 5 years.
  7. And here I was thinking Ford owners were smart...snake oil anyone?
  8. Whats that `thing` next to the bonnet strut?
  9. Same, I`ve wanted one for a few years now, just need a spare 250 + K
  10. Gave the car a good detail: Wash dry Clay bar Wash wheels Clean & condition `leather` Vacuum interior Apply Sealant (Polish angel Master sealant) Clean/polish glass Apply `sealant/protection` to exterior plastics/trim (CarPro CQuartz DLUX Kit) Gave the engine bay a small clean Considered doing a second coat of sealant to the body, but by this time I was well and truly forked.
  11. Had these for over 3 years (2nd set now), I really like em, I think for the $ they`re a great tyre, not bad in the wet, good dry, wear well.
  12. I`d say not,... no. Ford have spent thousands fixing rust on mine.
  13. Welcome mate, chances are you also have rust on body seems underneath the car too. I have had rust repaired twice in the engine bay (Ford cover this for 5 years), and twice under-body with some parts replaced. Usually it takes 24 hrs for Ford to give the OK. Do not wait any longer, go and visit the dealer, ask to speak to the warranty claims person in charge and demand to know WTF is going on, 2 months is unacceptable. Good luck and report back on how you go/went.
  14. 3 years from date of (first) registration. Unless it has Ford extended warranty, then its 6 years.

Most of the time, I`ve got a lot of caffeine onboard already, but in extreme cases I just have to have whats on offer (excluding international roast or Maxwell house), just have use a big teaspoon full or say, thanks...but no thanks.

I generally have 5 double shots a day (have machine at home/buy it @ work), have done for the last 6-7 years, can`t have instant anymore just doesn`t cut it. Ciggies, well that`s another issue. Just need to drink more water as coffee acts a a diuretic.

Yep, exactly why I got mine !

Fork what an excellent price, I got mine almost 2 years ago 08 4600K`s for 32K back then it was a bargain, but I think 27 for a 10 with low K`s takes the cake. Sounds like you were at the right place at the right time...BUT, yeh sorta sad to see the general value dropping. Well done man !
  19. Its only the drivers seat unfortunately, this was something I was hoping they would address with Mk II, why they don`t have an electronic front passenger seat in the highest spec cars is poor form. Lucky its only the wife's seat.
  20. Of course they would, just a case of wrong place wrong time, I`d be dirty too, I`m careful where I park. Hope you clean it out/off OK
  21. So if your car is under warranty are they just gonna put the sh*tty old bush in? wtf is that about...or they just want/make you pay for the new better bush and get the labour for free?
  22. Buy private with log book services and still under Ford warranty, at least your covered then should something go wrong.
  23. 16/litre is OK, I do alot of stop start with a twitchy right ankle, and get 16-15.5 , but on a long drive (country) can get it down to 8. Do what others have suggested, reset it.
