    Test Drive Today

The XRT interior looks just bland compared to the G6ET (though still good !), its more than the leather, it has every single option (and more)than the T e.g., reverse camera reverse sensors, ipod/blue tooth and other features as well. For the money and for what you get I`d still pick the G6ET, yes an LSD would make a fantastic car just that much better, but having said that I don`t (actually won`t)drive it that hard often enough to not appreciate an LSD. If it ever got to the point where I thought that the car really really suffers by not having a LSD then maybe consider fitting one. If I had lots of $$$ and could afford new tires often then who knows. I could not get a XR6T with low K`s for the money I paid. I appreciate your opinion though.
  2. Been looking for an auto Fg XR6T for some months now (white with parking sensors)with a max budget up to 35k, but in my area (Newcastle) there have only a handful but wrong colour an overpriced. Started to read about the G6ET, but most were priced above 35k or had higher k`s on them. Having read about diff `noises` /thud etc, faulty outside temp reading, oil leaks and other problems, I was aware of what to look for in particular the diff problem, as I would hate to have any problems with a car from day one. Test drove a July 08 G6ET today, first impression was `fork-n-hell` gearbox was so smooth, no diff noises when standing start (flat to the floor (just to be be sure I checked this several times), or when changing down gears upon pushing the accelerator to the floor or when backing-off. Handling was much better than I thought, its a big car though the feel is not overly heavy. Body roll was not too bad, overall I was quite impressed. The car has a tow bar, tint, slim weather shields, and bonnet protector with 45,000 K`s on the clock. Its in very good condition with 2 minor marks/scrapes on the front bar (only one is noticeable but may polish out)Interior is blemish free and looks great in black. The car has been listed for sale for the last couple of months and every few weeks the price would drop. I didn`t want to pay the listed price and after some negotiation settled on what I think is a good (great?) price. Paid a deposit today and pick it up in the morning (I feel like a kid getting his first bike). What a great car, my only concern is it kept losing/fighting for traction at the rear wheels but I can certainly live with that and adjust mt driving to suit.

Hi, (first post), I`m converted ! plan to sell the VT Berlina and pick up a BF II T, I can`t wait (though I am), I have around 25K to spend but will wait for the new year to buy, hopefully I can get something that`s stock standard (well looked after, low k`s), maybe leather, reverse sensors, premium sound. Later down the track will get some `mild` modifications done (gotta get past the wife first). Very impressed with the site. Cheers
