Rang them and they said if it's a new car warrant they can't do anything!?

G'day all. Well I received my car back from the dealership about three weeks ago in even worse condition yet again. This is getting unbelievable and would appreciate any assistance or contacts that maybe I can call because if Ford do not make something happen soon things will be going further. A little detail on my car and condition after a Brisbane Ford dealership had my car for a touch over four weeks for a second go at fixing it - - It now has some kind of external damage (paint and scratches). - I noticed a knock whilst returning home only to discover the heater hoses bouncing on the exhaust manifold (they had the engine out and reinstalled it). Ford Australia have stated that as I have spotted this problem that if I encounter an issue/damage with it resulting from this issue it is my responsibility and that I should have it towed back to the dealership or any other ford dealership to be assessed and repaired (at my cost). What the hell is going on here? My car has now been in my garage for nearly three weeks as I don't want to drive or touch it in the chance that the hoses result in further damage. I have other issues that I will be sure to post in full detail after legal advice if some resolution is not achieved. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Well I hope this works. Most of it was around the bonnet hinges and in most seems. Not really bad yet but not something I was happy with.

Yeah stripes I have tried to join that forum a couple of times but its just not happening for me for some reason. Mine has been garaged for most of its life and not near the beach so I am extremely disappointed to say the least. Ford have come to the party and approved for the engine bay to be painted, but when I picked it up the job was like a 10 year old had had a go with a paint can which was not even the correct colour, over spray and so on….. but that's another story that doesn't need to be vented on a forum. Again Ford have been good and have said they will fix it but my concern is when I go to sell the car its going to look like its been in a crash. Not only that but I am sure the rust will come back as I believe if anything is not painted properly from new troubles will hang about forever. It really has made my Ford experience ordinary and has left me not wanting this car that I absolutely love and had intention of hanging onto because of fear that in a couple years time I will have serious rust issues. This is made worse from the fact I have a 25 year old patrol that goes up the beach/camping and the like that has less rust than my two year old Falcon! Thank you for the replies and keep em coming because if this is a problem that ford do know about and if it is a issue with original paint I believe things may be able to be taken a little further.

G'day all I have had trouble with rust starting in the engine bay of my winter white fg mkii. Are there any other Winter White owners that are having or have had any problems with rusting in seems under the bonnet? The reason being is that mine would appear to have not been painted properly from factory and I have heard rumours that Winter White are the cars Ford have had issues with…so is it just mine or are the rumours correct. Thanks in advance.

Just disappointing I guess as I have a 25 year old patrol with no signs of rust around joins, nuts etc and it goes up the beach….but a 2 year old Falcon! It just wasn't painted properly I guess.

Thanks hrick. The dealer has never called me since they took it for a quote but I have called three times. Always friendly but say they are waiting for for to respond!? It was a Ford demo and without accusing anyone of anything it nearly feels like they have an idea of why it is rusting!? Will give them a call again tomorrow I guess. I know I am dreaming but I wonder if its bad enough for a replacement...

G'day all Well my first post so I hope I do this correctly. Just looking for opinions from anyone who is having/had the same experience as I am or any general thoughts. My XR6T is showing signs of rust in nearly every seem under under the bonnet and in the engine bay. I have taken it to the Ford dealer who I purchase it from who took it to get a quote to send to Ford Motors which was about two months ago now. It sounds like from the dealer that they are going to come to the party (have not had that from Ford yet) but as every couple weeks goes by I am worried that yes they may fix what has shown now, but what issues am I going to have down the track. Does anyone know if getting them to fix current spots is my only option? Not happy really as apart from that I do really like my car. Cheers Ben
