  2. What's Ricky been up to? Tell the slacker to answer his phone...
  3. Hey Mate, I wouldn't think you would need a new box, maybe just needs a refresh.. If you want someone local in Brisbane to have a look, Clinton from Profile Autosports has done a number of simple rebuilds (Refresh) on the ZF's. This includes stronger input shaft and new clutch packs etc.. However, if you want to go further and look at a stronger/built box, unfortunatley there is nobody in QLD that can do this that I know of. If you want a built box I rate Rob from MTE work highly and has some of the most powerful Fords in the country running with his built ZF's. Cheers Ben
  4. Ha ha.... no worries.. So what is actually been done to the built ZF boxes from CMS appart from upgrading the input shaft?
  5. Has something changed in the last month or 2? I know one of Profile Autosports customers had one done 2 months ago for that price. I will be moving on to a new project shortly and will also be sending that box over to him.
  6. To be honest, I'm not sure how he treats the shafts. Just took the advice others had given me and sent it to him to do his thing.. Been very happy with it, no slipping and nice firm shifts.
  7. It was around 2700 or $2800 which included freight.
  8. Don't know anyone in QLD that's known for a strengthen build. Pretty simple to refresh them with new clutch packs, new input shafts etc... I ended up sending mine all the way to WA to be built and strengthen by rob at monster torque.. 20k on it and still performing very well!
  9. Great idea, I was thinking of doing something similar. 2000cc injectors are ok, however I don't get the same mileage out of them like I did with the 1000's.
  10. I don't mind the look of Herrods Proto 8 car with the wrapped roof.. Lol at pillar mounted gauges.....
  11. +1 for Nitto NT05's, I'm on my third set with my standard rims 245/35/19 I also found grip improved after installing a Harrop Truetrac and changing every single bush in the rear end to Polly.
  12. I believe he means in the wheel arch guard behind where the cooler sits. I also did this to mine to allow the air to exit behind the cooler.. I have pics somewhere, just have to find it. Ben
  13. Just do what I did and take the fog lights out.. I have transcooler driver side and Engine cooler the other
  14. ^^ not sure what mean mate, the link above was for a US site and the tyre is 17/55...
  15. OK, just looks like it does go uphill than down when you are at the track.. My eyes must be playing tricks with me..
  16. Has anyone used the iTSX wireless vehicle logger? How well does it perform?
  17. 245 is the widest you can legally go on 8" wide rim.. A wider tyre say 275 on a 8" wide rim would not have full surface contact with the road... It would ballon out and also run the risk of the tyre coming off... This is why if you want bigger rubber on the rear, you also need wider rims to suit.. Just get a good quality 245 tyre if you want to stick with your current rims
  18. Pretty sure Willowbank is up hill until for 3/4 track then goes back down after that..
  19. Great result guys! What turbo is it?
  20. Nice build mate, I've see a few ETM manifolds position like that now.. It maybe just the pic, but how much room is there for the dump? Also running twin gates on mine and the spool up difference is noticiable over a single..

    Vac Leak

Hi Ratter, Not sure on the fuel trims.. Will have to ask. Clint has spent a lot of time on it and it is not behaving like his other customers using 2000cc injectors... He has sprayed around the inlet manifold a few times and cannot find a leak... Just thought I would ask if there was particular areas known to fault in our cars..

    Vac Leak

Ha Ha... Nah I changed back to 1000cc injectors thinking the 2000's were too big.. Economy improved a little but nothing like where it used to be... Just driving around normally at work mixed traffic and highway driving, I'm lucky to get 300K's from a tank..

    Vac Leak

Hey Mate, Clint will be having another look shortly, but he has suspected this for a while and can't pin it down.. Can't hear anything, just extremely poor fuel economy... On the boost gauage, vac at idle is around -11

    Vac Leak

Hey guys, Looks like I have developed a vac leak somewhere and bugger me if I can find it.... :( What are the common places for this to occur in our cars? Ben
