I think youre right... my mate with his TT said the final drives are 4:10... maybe the rear drives are a tad taller since theres a little less weight... Ill look under the car today & try to find the tag. Also BJ... who tuned your tank... my mates was done @ Nispro with 285kw @ all 4's... the best sleeper.

My brother has a stock 07 4sp Auto Xt rear drive Territory that hed like to convert to Turbo/6speed auto. Does anyone know what sort of wiring loom issues are involved if indeed there are any? Can get the Engine & box for 3 K so the temptation would definately be there if there arent a miriad of changes involved. Think with the 4.11 diff gears it might be a bit of fun.

Funny I noticed quite a few having issues with the elderly... they had a segment on 2day 2night (I think) last week on the elderly & having them re-tested for the road... mate some of them had the same attitude as the Pplaters... of course you need re-testing you half-wits... if your dangerous you need to be removed off the roads...simple!! They were trying to justtify their diminishing eyesight & hearing as not being an issue. too funny

Being Xmas time & double demerits... Im hoping a few P platers out there will read this. What the F##k is it with you young guys in your frigin Hondas. Actually.. I had this young (and hot I might add) chickie in an S2000 that just had to get up the inside ending lane, as far as she possibly could. She managed to get in front of the car in front of me....anyway cutting things shorter... I ended up having to go harder on the brake pedal than I would have liked. AND..when I gave her the mouthful later on down the road... yeah.... that puzzled look.... its priceless.... pure ignorance. Its obviously dad that funded this car..what an idiot!! yeah I agree... I reckon a set of headers, exhaust & a tinker with the tune youd be giving the SIDI sv6 what for....and all on BBQ fuel... awesome!! Has anyone also heard if the excise on LPG is going up? If its under Federal jurisdiction theres bound to be another Gillard F@#k up

a quick fix I performed was using exhaust manifold washers from an RB30 (VL or R31 skyline 3L)...theyre spherical & act like spring washers...I repaired my leak about 10,000k ago & still tight. I have a quite a few spare If anyone wants some.

NOOOO... dont do it... nothing special at all... dads Egas ute has better braking than my BF.. and they squeel like hell...even with the backing strips... very disappointed with the choice

FMD!!!! man these cars are sooo much more than I had expected. Easily....EASILY the best handling FWD car I have ever...I mean ever been in... didnt get to drive it... but this thing gave me the most confidence in the passenger seat than I ever thought I could imagine feeling... I always had confidence in Bradleys driving... but the speed & agression this thing laped up into, around & out of corners really blew me away.... maybe its a different type of road feel... but to me it felt just as capable as a slightly modified evo7 I had been in a few years ago... just raw hard edged. The only aspect I could probably criticise the focus would be its struggle for traction in the lower gears... im sure the 4wd boys would really be glad that there is at least 1 area it doesnt match them. I questioned his selection of this car over the new GT he was contemplating buying.... but not now!!! What a brilliant job Ford Euro!!! Oh...and love the different tune the 5cyl growls out... awesome

I remember I used BOOST 98 from united servos years ago in my rb30... found it comparable to Ultimate, but 10-12c/L cheaper & even Zoom mag gave it the thumbs up... is this the 100octane version? Have to say I havent come across it in Sydney.

yes... one about 10min from my joint as well... I emailed Caltex asking about their pricing on E85... they quoted that on average its around 30c/L cheaper than Vortex... considering the quality of Vortex...I think that's great value.... even considering E85 consumption is slightly higher.

was curious as to who you guys are getting to tune for E85... my skyline was done @ JEM in ingleburn... they seem to be biased towards the stuff... didnt do a bad job.

anyone here have their car tuned for E85? I ran it in my skyline a few years back... awesome stuff... think its about 134/L now from some Caltex servos... I picked up 20rwkw just converting & tuning to suit. And despite all the rediculous rumors regarding its corrosive tendencies toward components etc... my car never had any issues in 15000km what so ever.

For the life of me... I cant seem to relocate an article .... quite some time ago now... where I think it was wheels magazine showed a company (am sure it was in Syd) that successfully converted the XR6T over to LPG. From what I remember it was tuned to a figure of around 270rwkw.The beauty of this system was that at the required engine load..it would also combine EFI to give the required AFR's & therfore eliminate the potential for detonation. With fuel prices forcasted to head way north again..Id love to find this workshop and have a serious chat. Does anyone know of this workshop...or any other for that matter in the sydney area that does this conversion? Cheers

funny I should come across this post... I had a local tranny specialist do my service...used atlantic oils with a high recommendation... but now it seems to have a whine on cold (sounds like the oil pump to me)... changes are a bit hesitant on cold but seems to be ok when hot... it also thumps from 5th to 6th on low revs,.. very interesting. I was disappointe at not using the genuine ZF oil.. was only 50 or so bucks dearer.

Hey Spook, So to sum it up...you just replaced the standard woofer with the jaycar unit ...albeit under the tray...& just reconnected the wires. If so Ill head down to Jaycar myself. Can you tell me what dynamat is...and where do I get it?? Cheers danny

Hi All, After ringing around... including interstate...yeah...even qld'ers opinions are worth noting...haha.. ive got the general feel that most suspension specialists lean towards King springs/Koni adjustables for my BFT update. A mate has Pedders springs in his update... but my experience with the reds is the shocks dont last much longer than the warranty period & the springs sag. Give me some feedback people... Hows the ride quality with the Kings? Ive read quite a few favourable reports from Skyline owners... convince me Xr owners. Dan
