  1. Yep you're right. I was still sething but now that I've had a Bex and a lie down, I realise I was only venting. Redbook is between 17-19,000, so it looks like a private sale. Sorry for sounding like a spoilt brat but I expected a little more for such a good make of car ← I've been there too brutha! I'll be keeping my T for a long time, sure I'll get a newer car in a few years but I'm happy for this one to share the garage with the new one. A gut feeling tells me if we still have Premium Unleaded at the bowsers in 20 years time, a low mileage T of the original model will be worth a small fortune. Probably because you'll only be able to afford to put the fuel in it for special occasions. Other than that I think the T's are the best Ford innovation since the HO. Hmmmm here comes the
  2. Take it back and make them get it right! It isn't a hard job.
  3. imagine their dissapointment when they see that it is just the same boring plastic boat rear end looking govy standard car like the one they already have!
  4. You have found some chicks from the Royal Australian Navy! They want them back ASAP, apparently the stokers have stopped showering now they have no one to impress!
  5. would be so much fun to see a T or an F6 on their, the curiosity factor alone ← They bagged the buggery out of the Monarodore initially but it gut the final thumbs up. I'm right sure they'd rub a chip butty into our beloved T/F6, they have Turbo's everywhere over there and ours would just seem run of the mill. Hate to say it but the Monarodore only came through cos it had raw "primitive" grunt and that got them, other than that they bagged the stuffing out of it. I'm not so sure I like the show as much if they did that to our T. Of course I know we have a better car than a Monarodore, but I know what Aust. build quality is like to.
  6. Name: Greg Age: 30 Sex: M Location: Heart of the Great Southern Employment: Local CASE IH dealership. As far removed from a Combat Systems Operator in the Navy as possible, Nah loved that too! Handbrake: Yes Vehicle: Late 03 XR6T, EL Falcon, XE Falcon. Had a nice XF until a few months ago as well. The Handbrake required fencing for four legged 1HP jobby, something had to be given up! Mission in life: To park an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish next to my T, and get a job presenting on the TV show "Top Gear"
  7. Not sure about that Jman, mine does have an aux input selection though. Where this connects I haven't found out as yet. A while back I looked into getting the Blaupunkt kit that allows MP3 & DVD's to able to be played into the existing colour screen/unit but as I was buying a house at the time I couldn't afford the $1500 odd that is was going to cost. Now I figure it is just easier to use an IPOD with the I-trip that plays through an unused FM station. This isn't going to suit somebody who wants the true doof doof sensation though.
  8. What he says! If you have to be stuck looking at something that cannot be removed then go for the best one. Cheap option that should not be left out. After years of having good doof doof units in my machines, I was happy to let it go with this car. The "Handbrake" only turns it down anyway!
  9. "anywhere near as long" is goin a bit far I reckon. If you are in the Market to buy a new T or a low mileage one and you have had a LS1 previously you sound like the sort of person who isn't going to own it any more than 5 years anyway. Most people who can afford to own these vehicles tend to keep changing over their cars periodically anyway. Heck we all like to stay up with it. In which case this will never be a problem.
  10. My everyday banger is an EL Falcon that has served its life on dirt roads and been flogged within an inch of its life constantly by sales reps from the company I work for. It has close to 400,000 Kms on the clock and it still purs like a kitten. Auto slips a bit and the body isn't going to win any awards, but all in all it is still a great car to drive. Motor is still strong enough to take on a semi going up a hill, that's good enough I reckon.
  11. funny you should say that. I happen to think that my BA is quite noisy. I put it down to tyres on road noise, slightly annoying but tolerable. I've got to say I expected it should have been quiter when I brought it though. The "handbrake" doesn't notice a thing, she hated the noise that came from the 8 in my old SS. Took me quite awhile to appreciate the complicated sound of the T's, but I like it now. I wonder what all the fuss is about when my mates go on about the sound of 8's. Most of which don't or have never owned one.
  12. I had a mate in the passenger seat a few years back. Thought he was doing a service by feeding a bunch of seaguls KFC. The favour was returned in like manner with a big sh*te that came through the open window and landed right on his shoulder, completely missing my beloved dunnydore at the time and everything else in it, bar him. Teach him for feeding scanky seaguls.......
  13. hmmm, this just only adds to my theory that birds aim for particular colours. Red is quite prone to the old splaatt as well, serously......
  14. Ahhhh the inner bogan....... Now that takes me back to this one time, when I owned a Gemini. Dude some serious flashbacks happening here, make it go away!!!
  15. Those Breyton Vision II's look sick! Pitty they wont fit Fords.
