yay time to lose my car for two more days. love my car but this kind of stuff annoys me

I think so too. the core has a warranty and is still covered. do you think the800$in labour will be taken care of or will I need to hammer the credit card again. mate is a mechanic and we got under the car and had a look but couldnt see anything. I think is the core too and yeah its just leaking through the aircon. btw fraud didnt fit it

hi I have a 2004 Ba xr6 na and recently I have noticed that my car is dropping coolant from mid way down the car. I got under the car and looked and it its dripping coolant (not aircon condensation) from the back of the transmission.. More prominently when I start the car the puddle begins and will drop a small puddle around 10cm in dia then just drip a few drops every minute. I have had my heater core replaced around 4 months ago and recently I have been able to smell coolant through the aircon. I have checked the welsh plug on the back of the block and they are still good as is the heat gasket and heater connections in the firewall I have been told its a sealed transmission but think otherwise.. any ideas?

I didmine about a month ago. took the stone gaurd off and number plate and reached under and through the front. biggest hassle was getting them seated back again properly

its not really a local car club.. I just fancied it up a little.. its just a bunch of mates from street commodores and people we had gathered over the years.. if anyone has gone along the national park run before... it gets a bit bumpy and windy at the same time. .much like the robertson run. we got stuck at a set of lights on the princess hwy and ended up about2 km behind the pack of cars. heading along lady mckell ave before wakehurst dr a little we hit a mixture of bumps turns and gravel left on the road at about 70 on a bend rated for 50. coming out of the combination the wheels on the passenger side went off the road and the car followed. ill get some pics as soon as I can get my phone fixed..(unrelated)

sorry didn't make it, was in a car accident in my mates car on sat around mid day.. went on a cruise with my local car club to hill 60 via the natio and hit a corner too fast and went off the side of the road into the bush.. poor VZ SS is a write off but passengers are fine

my mate went out and bought near new VE GTS wheels with brand new tread, hadn't driven on them for any longer than an hour and hit a pot hole, buckled the rim and ripped into the side wall... on a lighter note, any weather predictions for sat?. Im just off the markers, and if its wet its going to be a bit fun They say its going to be wet all week then clear up on friday

buy a new seat.. lol

thanks..... nah mine is in envi too... I swiped a kerb and did the back wheel and nicked the side skirt a bit so its a little inconspicuous but still want to touch it up

evening all. my 04 ba xr6 has manual window winders on the back... yes I know */facepalm* Does anybody know if it is possible to convert these to power windows? are there cable looms going to the rear doors to accommodate these? many thanks

there are BF GT Cobras with less than 5000k's on the clock on car sales that fetch around that $95k

really its up to the end user and if they can see a difference and benefit from it then that's great, +1 for ford. I will always love my XR and that's my preference even though it prob costs me an arm and a leg.

I absolutely agree with you there. my group of mates are Expensive Daewoo fanatics and unless it has a lion on the badge they consider the car to be crap.. I can just as easily take on any of their cars and come out 20m ahead in the end no problems. people see the new DI as just another point against ford then start comparing all the torque graphs and compression ratios when in the end ford and Expensive Daewoo run totally different 6 cylinder engines. like why compare oranges and apples?

hi im thinking of mounting a power inverter in my boot for running a laptop and other devices but im unsure where I can pull at least 10A from apart from the cig lighter. I haven't checked behind the dash at the fuse box yet but if anyone has a better idea I would love to hear it Any ideas?

I had my car serviced by my local mechanic.. had heater core replaced, front brake disks replaced with new pads all round, and a 120k service. oh and aircon re gasses for free ford wanted this. $300 for base service minus parts, $1100 to replace heater core and I didnt even bother after that with the brakes. I had all that work done for just under $1600 and lost my car for a little under a week

since its has a turbo.. I doubt it would be p plater legal. Unless they release a non turbo and give it less power than a '94 barina
