Yeah mate, things are definitely looking up. Agreed, a simple cruise would be good, but I guess due to the vast expanses as you said, a lot more planning and advanced notice will need to go into them to gain some decent numbers. But, we have to start somewhere. Just post up your interest guys and any ideas of locations for a cruise or such so we can start to get a better idea on the matter. Locally, I think the run up the Palmerston and across the Tableland is a decent trip. But yea, that would not suit many. Slap some ideas together guys and we'll see where it leads us. As Qik1 said, these events coming up are a good way to meet up, have a chat and a beer as well, so hope to catch up with some of you there.

So yeah, I picked these up and they have grown on me to no end. 245x35 R19 Fronts, 275x30 R19 Rears. yea PURVIE, it rained a touch halfway through...then pissed down 20mins later... lol Bout as fine a weather as you get up here... Looking at some RDA Gold Passivated Rotors to throw on them, paint up the calipers and should do the looks department for a while!

So, finally after a year and with a weekend of "relatively" fine weather, I got around to getting some snaps of the car - all thanks to a couple of my mates who are a little better with a camera then myself. Will be painting or powder coating the calipers and picking up some new Brake Rotors soon so should finish it off nicely for a while. Was thinking of a stripe or something to break up the colour but still undecided... New F6 Instrument cluster to be fitted this week, then will start on the performance side of things - finances permitting. Anywho, here a just a few of them. Opinions welcome! Notol

Friend of the family with the Fed's said the same thing. Was checkin mine out the whole night last christmas, said it was his preference as well. Also let on about some tricks in..ahem.."inducing" hooning - said "you gotta have some fun in the job".

Probably a good idea to pick your tuner and give them a yell dude, no one here can speak for them. They each have their preference on gear they use and are experienced with so that'll be your best bet I reckon.

I've got the SS Inductions Growler on my FG, and whilst it gives a great sound, I wouldn't be looking at one if you want big power. If you only going to do a bit of modding, then fair enough, but we all know that once you start you'll find it hard to stop! They cost around $500 as well, so it isn't cheap compared to what you get from Process West / Rapid etc. If I had the time over again, I would have just waited and got one of their intakes and battery re-location kits, do away with the x-over and allow for a plenum upgrade in the future as well.

A good idea before washing in my opinion, is to inspect the whole engine bay, motor etc. You don't want to clean away any tell tale signs of an issue...ie oil leak, coolant leak etc. If its just your day to day dirt and grime, as Phantm said, hose away. Also, think of all the cars that have bonnet scoops (that actually do vent to the engine bay), where's the water go when driving on a rainy day...

Yup, mine does it as well. It is only when not up to full operating temperature, and always under light load when slowly taking off first up on cold mornings. I usually leave the car idle for about a minute or two before driving as well. It's been doing it for as long as I remember, and haven't had an issue yet. So yea, I don't think it is anything to worry about.

Well, I've got a Growler Intake on my otherwise standard FG, and I can tell you that it definitely does whistle...whenever it starts to boost, its a whistling. So, obviously when your cruising, you don't get the noise, but slight acceleration will induce it. These things accelerate so quick, so you're unlikely going to be able to enjoy the noise for great periods of time, unless you're running the quarter or something...
