I have my copy of the movie, and all I can say me and a few mates watched it, it is not a big budget hollywood movie and in knowing that can judge it fairly. Alot of effort has gone into the movies and in reply to plonky these cars were registered driving on suburban streets and not about drag racing or hooning and you are right in your comment about this day an age considering I think it was a good effort .There is a theme to the movie be sure to read the introduction at the start as it sets up the story line.It is about nice cars, a cheesy story line(fun) some good viewing of nice cars in action and I thought neat ending. Good onya cam for having the vision to put something like this out, just goes to show u dont need to be a hollywood producer to put out a good movie. The quality of the filming and editing is excellent. regards STANG aka Margetis

  6. and remember whilst your believe you rule the world, you DON'T. Several billion people share it with you. This is where you are wrong, america does rule the world and that is the reason so many countries hate americans.Just like in history whether it was the greeks, romans, british etc there will always be activist who beleive that they should be at the top (the fall of the roman empire was a perfect example). Yes America does rule the world because there is no one left to challenge them, but rather than invade and plunder they control it via the share market and global economy.
  7. You make me proud Goldie biggest problem with this country and the U.S is everybody wants to do things the humanitarian way. If the Us were fighting soldiers instead of terrorist it would be a different story. These dictatorships need to be destroyed, everybody should be able to experience freedom. I am proud to be an aussie and as far as treating terrorist humanely if they dont live by the rules why should the U.S. The terrorist who kills someone in cold blood wont be punnished why should the U.S. But the humanitarians want you to capture prisoners lock them in a cell for 6 months then let them go, so they can go kill again. They should execute every terrorist they catch and let them see how they like it. As for interogations if it save lives cut there bloody hands off see if I care.

Yes please! Oh yes please ... we'll all sit quietly and pay attention, I promise. Well the car was a 2002 Carerra 4 6 spd with a GT3 body kit, sunroof and usual porsche gear. It had a silver exterior and what I can only describe as 'Terracotta' coloured interior (Hey beggars cannot be choosers I suppose!) The car had 44 thousand Miles on the clock and was going to be sold after my departure. Book value was 45,000 pounds, ($135k)! For those who do not know, when you purchase a porsche new you receive a Factory Fitted blonde with the body and the looks to match the car. This used to be an optional extra, however this is now listed as a standard feature. Being that I had brought my own blonde over from Aus with me, this Porsche had the factory one removed to save any agro that may have been caused. Build quality on the car was pretty faultless, it's amazing to see not only how close all the panels are mached but also inside the car the interior just flows and has no sign of tackiness whatsoever. There is a back seat in which a dwarf would struggle to be confortable in, so really it's just asthetic. Small boot in the back combined with the one in the front gives enough space to fit 3-4 sports bags, or a small child if desired. One thing I love about this car is that it is a true sports car, with the rev taco smack bang in the middle where it should be, and the speedo odd to the side with all other relevant info. From the driving perspective, believe all the hype. This car is fast! And then Fast again! The way the power is applied is gradual as the revs climb, but like any N/A car if you want to pull away quickly you need the revs. The car had an amazing ability to pull in any gear, I almost felt like I could have taken off from a standing start in 6th! If you give it some stick as it goes through the rev range you can hear the induction system go through distinct stages of application, how many I am unsure of as I was too busy one trying not to sh*t my pants, and also dealing with the massive amount of power it was generating. It would surge and put you back in the seat then when you thought that was over it would do it again then again until you were literally saying 'Holy sh*t'. The noise from the induction was incredible when you planted the foot it got louder. The engine noise inside the cabin was relatively quiet however, from outside the car was quite loud and had that lovely Porsche bark to it. What really amazed me however was this car was as happy being driven at 60km/h as it was at 160km/h nothing seemed to phase it. You could pull away in any gear smoothly and with no fuss. It you want to pull away fast you really needed to make sure you were in the right gear with the right revs, and the fun is immediately there, other wise you could drive it like you would your wife's Laser. The driveline felt so tight and was extremely forgiving if you were in the worng gear, it would not matter.A very drivable car around town and likewise on the fast blackstuff. One interesting point was the clutch, not overly forgiving and would engage right at the end of the release which made it interesting as your knee always felt elevated to a certain extent. The other interesting thing was the accelerator pedal comes up out of the floor rather than down from the firewall. This takes a bit of getting used to especially if you have large feet, and there is a knack to heal and toeing. The gearbox was as smooth as they come, beautiful direct short shifts made an absolute pleasure of changing gears, why someone would order an auto beats me with this type of gearbox. Once you were belting along fast through the twisty stuff the car glued to the road like snot to a chickens lip. In some circumstances you would overplace the car into a corner to compensate for the body roll you are normally used to, so you would have to re-correct as this car was direct as it came, the only thing doing the rolling was me in the seat. Steering was direct but smooth and gave great feedback, brakes are unbelieveable and I came no where close to testing their limitations. The fastest I got up to was 140mph which I think is about 160-170km/h but really this was not pushing the car at all. The only negative if you could call it that, would be the car is not overly forgiving in the fast handling stakes. While it is presice and quick it will handle brilliantly until you find that point of stuffing up a corner or similar and it does not forgive, get it very wrong into a corner, and I wish you the best of luck. Being that the engine is almost mid mounted the first thing to go is the rear, as that's what's carrying the weight. Overall this car is fantastic. I am 6'1 and probably found it a little tight so I would say if you are bigger than 6'4 you would struggle, but hey that's what sports cars are about! I really could not fault the car, the only thing the T has over it is the room, besides that no competition. It's just unfortuante now they it has shown me how bad the driveline is on the Ford's I would have one tommorrow, in fact I would sell my right nut for one! I will eventually buy one, but this will be a few years away yet. hmmmm been looking for a third nut how much you selling it for, you know too many girls not enough nuts.

Mate, The xr6 without the turbo is still a great car, the beef is with Ford amd I am sure most peope will agree, Ford should have given the XR6 na another 20kw or made the std falcons 10 kws less powerfull. Up untill the Ba range the fairmont and xr6`s were more powerfull than the std falcons. But the most important thing is that if your happy with you NA , that's all that matters. And is still better than the SR hands town.

All I can say is go ford go . Expensive Daewoo this and Expensive Daewoo thatI think alot of people have been dissappointed with holdens offering at late, but they are bloody good at marketing there products though.

Mate b4 I had the turbo I had an ed falcon gli. they dont need much to look good just lower it nice wheels and good exhaust. they go pretty good std.If you definately want an eight save a bit harder and get an ed xr8(mind you th ef to el look heaps better but bigger bucks)My only regret was I didnt get an ed xr6 to start of with. Think about it by the time you buy the rims (I bought the ef xr6 rims) lower it ,sports supension,xr6 genuine exhaust complete. you might as well spend the extra bucks. Ps gave it to my 75 year old father inlaw he loves it :-) Oh by the way the E series dont suffer from rust as much as the to xf range do.
  17. Plonky, what are you talking about . When Expensive Daewoo bring out a worthy contender for the mighty turbo (yes 240kw as apposed to holdens best 6 cylinder at 190kw) then you could make that comment. Until then the turbo still rules!!!!!! Plonkys right, Ford have sat back on their (recovering) arses and let Expensive Daewoo run away with the game (again) The ESP system on the new VZ was developed locally for the Territory, you would think Ford would devlop it for the BA, but no they sit back, and Expensive Daewoo jump in and implement it into the VZ. There is no doubt a turbo V6 will appear, its a market segment Expensive Daewoo are way too smart to ignore long term. Mondie, this is my opinion so its not gospel but for Expensive Daewoo to put a turbo on the v6 I beleive they need to put two turbos on that's a lot of dosh, I doubt it will happen.

Mate I would be ringing ford direct and ask them with a please explain once you have pricing from other dealers let them know that they have a ford dealer that is ripping of their customers and portraying ford in a bad way
  19. I'm still trying to find the right lower grille Macka, I saw a photo of BCL's car the other day, and I liked the look of his lower grille I quite like the look of the Mazda lower grille's (Mazda 3's & Mazda 6's) I reckon they have the right mesh pattern and shape. I must call into a dealer one day with my tape measure. Mark. I was looking at hese to but dont they have a slight bend in them? as well as being 1-2 cm thick how will you fit it? Let me know your findings
  20. Well I`m gonna spoil your fun I`m upset coz it keeps raining everytime I want to wash my purple beast, and theres nothin worse than seeing your prize possesion getting dirty(Girls excluded) But I totaly agree so long as you have a good dealer and good mates what more can ya want.

Am happy to help out but I thought the mods of each state would like to take control of stock. I dont personally like being responsible for holding on to other peoples stock but am happy to help out on the day. I think before we take this further we need to get a volunteer that has the time to be responsible for each state (whether it be mod or member.) regards Stang

Well call me a *beep* always let it warm up, didnt give it stick till after 1000k`s on the clock, never abuse it. Look more for quick acceleration than chucking burn outs. I dont like drive it like you stole as I intend to keep the car for a while.Absolutely no issues (knock on wood) 13000k`s on the clock. regards Stang For the record my ed falcon I gave to my father inlaw the only thing I replaced in 9 years was the battery twice and an xr6 exhaust system.
