Pricks! Is it going to Crispin? How did you go selling your liberty? Not a lot of interest in ours so far :(

Hey John No FG, still repping the GTi for daily duties We do have another Ford though, got a SX Territory Ghia for family carting / wifes daily. Liberty is up for sale soon as a result. Spotted the BA at Marion swim centre Saturday avo, still looks good and made me miss it!

Hi John, Glad to hear you got the business up and running - missed seeing the G6ET at your work for a while now and figured you may have moved on? Hows the BA going also? would love to hear how its going Cheers Lee

I'm glad the car ended up going to someone who can appreciate the effort I put into maintaining it, and not to some young dick who would end up wrapping it round a tree or light pole!

Well, John gave me the opportunity to drive this beast yesterday, and all I can say is wow! The response of the GTX76 is f**king awesome, and John definitely swayed me towards going the G6ET path in the future with the 76, much more responsive than my (old) BA. Talk about luxury express! Cheers! Lee
  7. Nope An air filter (for petrol model) Pollen filter HEGO sensor Fuel filter that sits in main fuel line under chassis
  8. few bits n pieces for some well deserved maintenance:
  9. Fair enough - but you stated above that a clean filter is good for 300rwkw, so does this imply that there aren't any flow differences?
  10. Thanks Ratter, My filter is due for replacement and was wondering if its worth spending $$ on a K&N or similar. At present have SS Widemouth with deflector setup & Heinrich tune. Have on order injectors and will have valve springs installed shortly so at best will be pushing high 200's at a guess (stock exhaust), so would paper filter still be worth while for now rather than K&N?
  11. By clean factory filter, do you mean Ford motorcraft filter or just a paper filter such a ryco etc?
  12. 3" Stainless Exhuast, with modified factory dump pipe. Just requires fitment of cat converter and bolting up.... First quote from AAA Exhuast, $380 for 3" 200cpi cat, $420 to fit exhaust. I left their shop laughing at them. For now I may just get an adaptor made to bolt up to stock cat as I really only wanted it for the increased noise anyway.....
  13. So unless you consistently run the car dry (carry a Jerry) how can you know? Or are you then referring to the estimated distance to empty once filled up?
  14. Did you end up changing your O2 sensor? If so can you let me know the part# also as want to replace mine to see if it makes a difference to economy.
  15. BA Mk 1 XR6T with SS Widemouth, Monza FMIC and Heinrich tune. I get ~430k to empty, ~350 to light on most fills, often equating to 15.0L/100 when calculated on L put in to trip meter reset. That's all metro driving but not peak hour - average speed of 36kph according to trip computer... That being said, should clarify what you mean per tank: is it when the light comes on? when it stops runnin as out of fuel? even 5L difference of the "tank" fill can make a notable difference in economy: 350km @ 50L = 14.2L/100 350km @ 55L = 15.7L/100 trip computers are known to be innacurate, only way is to reset trip meter and note L put into the car.
  16. Where is this shed of yours Jet? Guessing out north somewhere (long way from the dirty south)
  17. interesting idea, but as stated, torque app with bluetooth dongle is much cleaner.
  18. How did you determine that your injectors were farked? Current consumption is sitting 15-15.5L/100 in my T and I know that I can do better.. used to consistently get 13.5 for exact same driving in my dad's BA on same roads/same driving so am sure its related to O2 sensor, but intrigued about injector comment.

  21. Seems like we're heading back to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Super_Touring_Championship but with bigger motors :|
  22. haha, love the plate
  23. Does it Matter what kw? End of the day is the driveability of the car. Whether its 320,330,350 on Bruce's dyno, its the drive that will leave you smiling. Yes his dyno reads a little higher than others, he does power runs in 8F blah blah blah. He know's what he's doing resulting in many happy faces with wallets that remain heavier than if you take it elsewhere
  24. This is how my car magically ended up much more fun to drive after going in for a major service. Told her was getting trans cooler, full service fluids flush etc (which it did) and the bill just came back a few more hundred than I expected.. Oh dear!?!
