  1. "Gforces" during the tyre warmup....
  2. Hey Ralfus, you would have to just about have the record for the most posts in a single day; today, wouldn't you? You have not stopped posting and you have been all over the place today, are your fingers on the speed or what? lol. I'll take another look at your above recomendation.
  3. I'm sure now that the FG is out, the FPV branch is trickle feeding the market with superseeded and old stock e.g. FPV badges and parts. I supose if I wait long enough I'll be able to buy an official build number (there is blank HSV build plates on Ebay) Then I guess it will be an official FPV, just that it was mail order rather than factory built. By the way got the folder, they are a snap at $80 bucks. Cheers.
  4. I would have to say Dillz, My pick would have to be your "The Endless Sentence", it cracks me up. From the time I opened it, I read the lot and my guts was so sore from laughing, I was in pain the next day. There is some sick, funny, demented people out there, also a few that can't count to 5. I'LL Keep it moving while I can, it's the first thread I go to. Thanks DILLZ, I'm a better person for it.
  5. Nice ride mate Iv'e got a pick and a sledge hammer, when do you want me to bring them over.

Yes, it always got funny looks from the old ladies in the petrol stations, lol.
  8. We used to go and buy HR's and EH's from the wreckers with 1 months Rego left, for $50- $60 Bucks and go out chock full of mates and give them an absolute flogging. We were in an HR one day doing roll backs, in the middle of no-where, when the engine snapped the rubber engine mounts and jumped over onto a 45 degree angle (it looked like a slant 6); but the carby linkages no longer reached so we had no exelerator. No problem, we lifted the bonnet, Thommo sat on the wheel well and operated the carby by hand and I drove home with half my body out the drivers side window (to see past the bonnet).

That looks tuff mate, Mercury is the nicest colour. My BA was Mercury and I looked hi and low for a new BF XR6T in Mercury, after the FG turbo was released. I settled for my Neo BF and I have to say the colour has realy grown on me. Good Luck....
  10. The RACQ must have been in the area for them to race out to you that quickly, LOL.
  11. MATE, your ride revs so hard, I was waiting to be hit in the head by flying bits of engine but it just did not happen. I understand your car ran about 150HP short of its capabilities, mate that's one beast you have there. Good luck...
  12. Back in the early 80's we were cruising in my mates XY fairmont, we headed out west from Cairns for a weekend of highspeed driving. On the second day on the way home about 200km west of Kidston on an obscure road, with no petrol station to be found, we ran out of fuel. No problem just call the RACQ on the mobile (except mobile phones haven't been invented yet). We walked for miles looking for a house, with no luck at all, we headed back to the car. After one and a half days with no passing traffic; and out of hot beer, but a boot full of tools and plenty of thinking time. 'The light bulb came on". We emptied the boot accessed the petrol tank fuel pick up, bent the pipe down until it hit the bottom of the tank, thus were able to scavange the remaining fuel in the tank. Drove about 20 km to the nearest house; and the rest is HISTORY.... Have you had the worst BREAKDOWN ever. <<<<POST AND LET US KNOW YOUR STORY>>>>

  17. Hey all, I ended up going today; and I have to say It was a ball. XR6 T's were slightly under represented, but there was some very heavy cars there. Mark.D Xr6T Dyno,d at 522.9 Daniel.M Xr6T " " 456.0 JAZZI Xr6T " " 371.0 And Ihave to say I was very happy with the result considering the air temp (33 degrees). I would encourage any one to attend any future shootouts even if it is just for a look.

  23. It is a good idea to get the lead cars mobile number if there are members that don't have radios. Sounds like even though you got split, you all had a blast.... Good luck with your next one... How about posting some pix of your cruise?
  24. Mate, we just did a Brisbane night cruise on Friday night (14/11), our group uses hand held UHF radios, I picked mine up from "super crap" on Friday arvo for under $150. I,ll tell you, group got split and red lighted and was all over the place. If I didn't have that radio my night would have been over very early... Plus- radio chat is the best part of the cruise.
